Drakar och demoner was the first rpg I played some 30 odd years ago. I found the setting more compelling than both äventyrsspels/target games other big game at the time Mutant, and adnd(I belive 2nd edition had just came out). My personal favorite version is the 1987 release of dod, in -91 they changed skils in a way I didn't like(classes became more rigid with what skills they could and couldn't learn like in dnd). But then life happened and rpgs were something I dropped. But after life now having setteled quite a bit I was thinking of getting back into the hobby and it's nice to see that the game from my childhood is still going, even if it's on its 3rd publisher and setting.

Great first session and your journal really adds to it. If I ever play a mallard I am going to make it afraid of water, that will make for great stories. One of that things I will be doing for the failed camping rolls will be using insects. There are insects in the area that kept the PC from getting a good nights sleep and they suffer some exhaustion the next day. Something you might consider for future rolls. Keep up all the great work and your art is amazing.

When I was playing, I thought to myself, I wonder if it would be funny if this duck is scared of water or is too old to swim but obviously I didn’t go that route. Insects are a good idea.

@@wilonascave yes writing while playing would be boring. It was in regards to the other plays, in which every roll is shown. Here it is already told, you know what's happening next, except the last roll.

I really enjoy the stories you create. I have to say you seem to be having more fun with this than you did the other ones, and it probably is because you're not using a VTT. When you did your last roll and you came up with the exceptional know the first thing I thought of was it was a premonition nothing bad's happening now but it will. You're interpretation was not one that I think I would have ever come up with. Thanks for sharing!

Hi, I found your channel today and it’s great to follow along with your adventure! I’ve a question about Dragonbane I’d like your opinion on. I’m thinking of buying this boxset for solo play. I’m not very experienced in solo rpgs so the solo rules seem a great addition. The boxset comes with many premade adventures. Do you think those premade adventures are playable solo with the solo rules or are they made specifically for dm role playing? Also the bestiary seems pretty small. Do you need to use different books from other systems to create different monsters to combat?

The more you get experience with solo play, the easier it is to use those adventure books. And when a surprise is supposed to come up, what I like to do is create four options, including the one that’s in the book and roll the dice to see which option will happen. For example, what the surprise will be behind a certain door for instance. It’s still a brand new system so the bestiary is most likely not complete. Free League has stated there already working on three expansions for this game. The box set will most likely be available to purchase in August of this year.

As in a solo adventure, there’s quite a few that are free I believe actually, but for solo rules, I would go with Ironsworn because that’s the same creator of the rules of this game for solo play. Let me know if you’re looking at solo adventures. I’ll take a look to see what I can find.

Well, in all fairness the videos you watched of the speed drawings were sped up nearly 1,000%. And it’s so fast it doesn’t show all the times I erased. Also doesn’t represent how slow I’m drawing, but realism in art comes with shading, imo.
