To be honest this would be a pretty hardcore ending and im all for it. Time to get dark and gritty. Enough of the feel good BS. Telling small scale stories (not world ending threats) is not the same as not having teeth and being all sunshine an rainbows all of the time. Benevolent forces will turn morally grey, deconstructing them for the sake of more bosses in the future and negative forces will also turn morally grey like they did with Death in Shadowlands to get new settings. They are just not creative enough to continue without their story eating itself.

So they just squished FF14 realm reborn final boss cinematic + Fast and Furious "family" dynamic. The dragon aspects, the protectors of the world couldn't figure that out? The first questlines in the expansion are about turning on all the dragon crest stones or whatever they're called. All the characters were like: "hm, strange, the lights aren't powerful by themselves. what could this mean?".

Nah, no justifying anything in this one. The expansion character's "OC DO NOT STEAL" design, the cheesy cliché, nothing. Alexstrasza is an over 10k years old dragon, aspect of life and mother of the red dragonflight. If her dragon nature would have allowed her to have this "friendship of magic" idea she would have had it before the Tauren figured out how to smoke pipes.

Ah yes. Each aspect got their powers granted from a corresponding titan. Eonar gave Alextrasza and Ysera their powers, Aman'thul gave power to Nozdormu, Norgannon gave power to Malygos and Khaz'goroth gave power to Nelthation. And now Azeroth, a very young Titan soul, that is just about to awaken, has enough might to amass the same powers as 4 pantheon members and re-awaken all 5 aspects, of which only 2 of the original aspects remain. So not only replenished Azeroth Alextraszas and Nozdormus original aspect powers, but she also managed to give Kalecgos, Ebyssian and Merithra actual aspect powers. Because family or something. 😂😂😂

Meh Azeroth isn't like a baby that hasn't been born yet, seems like she's an extremely powerful titan trapped in a statis prison of the Titan's making. @@fourjhin_cookies IF she is a titan to begin with. Azeroth may as well be something else entirely. One posibility is that she's the spark of creation that started everything. Imagine like she shoots her outter layers out, creating the universe, in which the Titans eventually evolve or arise as concepts, or aspects of her, then the spark simply goes to sleep on a small, unassuming object, like a planet. Kinda BS but it's within the realm of posibility, and would explain why everyone and their grandmas are interested in taking over Azeroth.

As much as people have an issue with this cutscene, myself included I can't help but think about what this means going forward. Azeroth didn't just give their aspectral powers back for them to be forgotten going forward. They have to be essential moving forward for when the titans eventually come back and this was the excuse to do it. I really did enjoy this expansion. It had flaws and story wise it wasn't the best, but holy shit was it better than Shadowlands and I think we all needed a palate cleanser after that shitshow. Moving forward I think we can expect a darker story starting to form and not because we are going underground next year.

I honestly liked the story, but is it really necessary to use the cutscenes for only friendly conversation? that's what the text is for in game and audible dialog whatever. This cutscene in particular i liked but not the idea of it existing in exchange for a cutscene of fyrakk's death or something.
