For some folks confused as to why Iridikron would ally with the void when they'd simply kill the world, it's because Iridikron isn't expecting the void to win. All he wants from the void, is to cause a disaster on a such a scale, it will cause the titans to initiate an emergency protocol to return to Azeroth. The void is the bait, that he knows fully well that every side will take.

No weapon is strong enough to kill a Titan for good (a planet could explode in their face and they would be most likely fine), so I guess he wants to use the Void somehow. By using the energy of Azeroth to make a Void Lord materialize long enough to deal a blow to the Titans ? I dunno. Probably a dumbass plan, but then again Iridikron seems consumed by revenge so, y'know, he doesn't care about consequences.

That's actually a pretty sexy prediction. The thing I've liked about Iridikron more than anything is that he puts respect on our names. I imagine at this point, he's knows what we've tried to accomplish. He knows we defeated the Old Gods, he knows we defeated his greatest rival in Neltharion, he knows we even defeated a titan I'd imagine. And in his years of preparation even before his capture, he's probably learned more and more about the world soul that even Magni does. Despite all that, he sees us as a equal part in the battle of for the world's soul and is banking on us being the spanner in the works of whatever the void has planned. He's the only villain that has really respected us, and that, to me, makes a really intriguing villain. Especially, again, if your theory proves to be true.

that has so much potential for different constellations and outcomes that Moment xD, like we prolly end up fighting the Titans aswell to free Azeroth be it the Planet and it Inhabitants and the Mystical creature within from all Cosmic forces, we use them all in some form but we shall not be dominated by them. So would be a ironic arc: Iridikron actually manages it to cause so much havoc on Azeroth to make Amanthul weary to then baiting the Titans to Azeroth, just to be clapped by us and we clap the Titans afterwards, a some what bittersweet Situation would be:we end up fighting the Titans and Iridkron ends up safeing our ass and dies, he had his revenge and even tho the way to this happening was disastrous for Azeroth and cost many lifes, perhaps in the long run it helped us. He is a unintentional Illidan who prolly will cause more harm to azeroth and Azerothians than Illidan.

@justinb7494 No she didn't, she was absolutely on board with creating an infighting between the void empowered dracthyr and the aspects, which would have resulted in indiscriminate death. She even complimented iridikron for his plans, and at that point she already had deciphered the dark heart. Not to mention that the 10.1 cutscene ended with them having "a lot to do" walking away together and that resulted in supposedly never working on anything together at all. But even putting aside the plans they had, to me even the way she talks is completely different up to the 10.1.7 cinematic where she turns good, before she talked like "clever evil" now she is just "100% good won't stand up with your evil plans that I fully supported 1 patch ago"

What I love about Iridikron is that he puts two options on the table. Two terrible options for us but he knows the one we have to chose benefits us more. Fight him or the infinites? If we fight him the infinites win and the world is screwed, if we fight the infinites he escapes but the world is safe. Even Fyrakk was a simple “you can hunt me down or stop the world from burning”. And that makes him very fun.

Almost seemed like they planned to do more with him, but they couldn't manage it before SL launched. It's sad, really. This does seemingly give us 2 seemingly beyond Titan level antagonists however, The Jailer (During 9.2), and most likely Iridikron (Assuming he does gain enough power to defeat the Titans, of course).

He's more than just a pawn in this game. He has motivation and a plan and is smart enough to know when to retreat and bide his time. I love that he isn't overpowered from the get go. He's cunning and not necessarily manipulative, rather scheming and calculating. Almost reminds me of Deathwing, just without the blatant madness infecting his mind and decisions. He's focused and locked in on his goal, and even willing to extend one last olive branch to his siter. He wants his kind to get their revenge on the titans, to bring them back to Azeroth and then enact his grand plan. I think it will succeed. He has Xalatath on his side and that's a force of nature that has been out in the void gathering her strength for a while now. She's ancient beyond even the ancients, and knows more than her fair share of forbidden knowledge when it comes to the titans. She will have made ready their plan and her confidence and her resources and just her mere presence is enough to make Iridikron believe that this will all work. I just hope he doesn't go full corrupted with power like we saw with Fyrakk. I'm kinda tired of the powered up to the nth degree villains. I want to see us fight Iridikron, but have him employ traps and use all his cunning to outwit us instead of brute force us. This is an interesting villain for sure.

Read War of the Scaleborn. Iridikron is a very calculated antagonist. The Shadow games him and Neltharion played against each other was marvelous. Can't wait to see where this goes.

Vyranoth believes in their cause. Vyranoth believes that the Titan's grip on their world needs to be loosened. What she's having trouble believing in is in whether whatever plan Iridikron has in mind to achieve that goal will leave anything of their world left after he's done.

She was fine with the plan that included the void, which Iridikron and her planned when Fyrakk was in Zaralek, until it was just her and Fyrakk and he deviated from the original plan, which is the entire reason she leaves him, so if Fyrakk had remained sane and kept to the plan she would still be with the Incarnates and the void. This is one of the prime issues with the Dragonflight narrative we know nothing about what the incarnates think and feel

For real its SOOOO good that we now have proper connection to the next Expansion, like before we had to wait untill a Cinematic + pre event to get the bridge to the next expansion now the bricks for the bridge gets laid down already at the last big Patch and then we even get another patch with further bricks for the Brigde to the next Expansion and then we still have the pre event which now has enough bricks to be a proper Bridge Poggies.

It actually did move the story, didn't need something big to happens. He gave the trinket to the next villain. He ended the bond between them, might be a foreshadow of her death in which Thrall foreshadow was in the trailer. Going start ramping up to 11.0 now.

Its the little things that slowly build up and make a nice story, tbh i am fine with not every 0.5 or 0.7 patch having any big progress toward the big plot. The fact that Irik did contact Vyranoth at least and the confirmation of him giving the thing he obtained to Harbringer (so far we only saw a shadow of her in the void portal and most people didn't even catch that unless they read Wowhead regularly, but believe me ~90% of wow player don't ! ) is kind of enough. this minor patch also have other lore progress in minor plots like Night Elf new outpost, Gilneas reclaimation and all that.

As much as I've REALLY enjoyed Iridikron as a villain, I can't help but think he will be one of our most instrumental ally as we further realize the Titans as antagonistic and an enemy to Azeroth. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Iridikron, has shown a sense of acknowledgment for the capabilities of the champions of Azeroth. I really do hope we get to see more of Iridikron as we move into the World Soul Saga.

The titans aren't on Azeroth enslaving everyone to constantly praise them and fight eachother like the void did and that we literally saw in the black empire part of the story in Thaldrasusz (however the hell you spell it)

You know what would be cool... if Iridikron was actually Neltharion. Like, and hear me out - Neltharion, when was about to succumb to the Void, realized he would become corrupted, hence he captured the original Iridikron, had him brainwashed to think that he is Neltharion and then let him fully succumb to the void and become Deathwing, while he himself assumed the guise of Iridikron and played the long game. So something like the mix of The Jailor and Venom Snake from MGSV

@@adnanaboukewik4950 What I want are not these generic one dimensional villains who are there just to stand around, delivering generic menacing monologues filled with common cliches in a deep slow voice over and over again. These writers are adults for f*ck sake and are being paid for writing... I would like to see some effort then. To this day, Iridikron is still just a juiced protodrake, a Deathwing wanna-be, nothing a balista shot wouldn't fix to be honest. I have seen nothing that would make me respect him as a world threat. His plan is nonsensical, his motivation is basic.

I'm really really interested, what Iridikron is cooking for the Titans. It's obvious, that they are more powerful beings, than him, so Iridikron must have something big in his hands, to think, that he can defeat them. I don't think he just fully relies on Xal'atath and the void. He knows the cosmic forces, as he mentions he doesn't trust them. He's smart, I believe he has a plan, that he's not revealing to Xal'atath, and he does not calculate with any external parties in his games. So he must be having something grandiose in his pocket. Anyway I really hope Blizz just won't kill him before TLT, and we'll be able to witness the interaction between Iridikron and the Titans.

Let's take a moment and realize that Iridikron stated first and foremost that he and Vyranoth are no longer allies, yet he does not shows any kind of resentment towards her. He REALLY is set to undo the Titans, so long they are gone, he will leave any other party thrive. Also he was kind to warn her not to go against him when he goes on the offensive, so it shows that there IS a little empathy towards his sister.

I think this is also exemplified when we see him interact with Chromie at the end of DotI; He doesn’t seem to hold any resentment against her, he doesn’t seem terribly offended by her existence as an Ordered Dragon, he just looks down on her as “little one”.

If he plays with the Void, I wish Iridikron proved himself more than just its plaything in the end. Any Old God, Void Lord or whatever rules the Void would believe that they control the dragon, like they manipulated Deathwing before... only to realise their mistake far too late and pay a very terrible price for underestimating Iridikron.
