New talent tree is a lazy joke. Blizz just take off everything from the Spell book and put it in the talent tree, wtf? It is literally worse than what we have now imo.

It’s def very lazy and there have only been minor changes. Maybe we’re missing some secret sauce but it’s sad if it goes live like this. Even tuning up to high damage won’t make this fun. It’s not terrible right now just disappointed to see we’re getting nothing new.

@@helvensquall agree, on the one hand the tree isn’t terrible and at least we retain the SL stuff we have. but on the other hand, Ret really needs a bigger rework and at this point that seems unlikely. The fact that they’re focusing on tuning means two things: pre patch is sooner than we thought, and classes are largely done. So I’m happy DF is soon, but sad that Ret is going to have another expansion of lackluster design.

When I saw justicars vengeance back AGAIN I rolled my eyes. Almost no one takes this talent since it came out in wod. They have the data to show that. I can only assume laziness, lack of creativity, and time crunch for its existence in a brand new talent tree design.

So much of the other trees are def reused talents and legendaries, but the layout hasn’t gotten any real tweaking which doesn’t make sense. JV is just a meme and the fact that it’s there shows they don’t care. They even nerfed it’s damage like what.

The need to channel something when it comes to tuning, becuase if consecration and blade of wrath are not heavily buffed from shadowlands, then fuck it may be more damage to go with straight stats over tier pieces and stick with better talents, then having to take the talents that buff the teir gear.

They are clearly rushing the expansion. Most trees look disjointed / non-sensical. There's about 2-3 months before it comes out. Don't waste your money on that pile of shit

Kinda disagree on several observations. First of all i don't see the single target stuff over aoe execution sentence: relentless inquisitor gives haste (good for st and aoe as well), and you can take it from hand of hindrance directly from the center of the tree or from consecration stuff, since you always want sanctification in aoe (my personal opinion). Holy Avenger could be super good with 3min crusade (if it's intended with 3min), maybe a 3 Min build will be sub-optimal on 100% uptime fights or somewhat, but having a viable 3 Min build would be great (depends by the damage profile that you need in that boss/m+ ofc). Divine toll is actually super bad compared with the shadowlands one, press 1 Min cd for 4 judgments over 20 sec in st... Idk, I think it will be decent only in aoe cause It will full your holy power, but as you said with the consecration holy power will be hard to don't overcap hp. I think the most boring part of the ret talent tree Is actually the boj stuff, adding damage to an ability that does not provide significant damage. And also conflicts with the wake of ashes reset (not so funny but genuinely strong). About the tuning stuff I would wait a little longer, they declared that they will now focus on class tuning as the talent tree structure is almost complete (but yes, a lot of things are super weak like the ex-conduits, righteous verdict, exorcism, ecc). But I agree on the other aspects you mentioned

I wish they’d shift more damage to blade of justice also. It would make expurgation scale better and increase value for haste (through art of war procs). I wish divine toll was better but my guess is it won’t get ringing clarity built in and there may be better options. Also remember with divine toll those judgments benefit from the other judgment talents out there plus the higher ranks of judgment.

@@Varaben if boundless judgment will be good i agree that divine toll in aoe will be huge. I hope that cause i like the cleave judgment thing, even if seems kinda weird. Btw the unbound Freedom in pve is my dream xD, but I doubt they will implement it sadge

@@Varaben I genuinely am extremely upset with how disconnected whoever is working on our tree is. We as a community are asking for very little in the grand scheme. Consistent damage, utility on par with the other classes, and not to be stuck in a wheelchair. It's disheartening, when other devs are tuning into Maximums steam and actively discussing the specs and ideas with the community and we have nothing but radio silence. It's hard to be positive when they do things like this

Like the feedback thread on beta is full of great suggestions and there’s been no engagement from devs. So the silence either means they’re working hard and they have no idea or they just said it is what it is and there’s nothing going to happen.

im all about pvp so being able to have the old combo of final reckoning execution sentences is dope and final verdict just wish i could squeeze somehow empyrean in but you right alot of these can be more smashed together like the seals and they wont ever let aura of reckoning be in there because other seals already kinda give it in pvp and with the changes to hammer and wings they dont want us to have wings up for hours lmao tho im all for it but it means they would have to nerf our base damage and i cant go for that the speed one they definitely can increase wtf is 2% the armor and crit one they can bump to 5% like wtf they can definitely give us the 30% movement with freedom wont kill nobody since yall wanna take away long arm and call me crazy but they need to make seraphim cost no holy power n make it a longer cd maybe just maybe more people will take it make it 20 secs like wings and 2 min cooldown or 1 minute make it too hard to combo with other stuff might actually run holy avenger then justiciar vengeance is dookie it seem like it will never go back to its formal glory so to hell with it and wake of ashes burn effect needs to be baseline like wtf and same thing with blade of justice burn effect wont kill nobody

My problem is some of that requires a ton of setup and if it’s super powerful it will just get shut down in pvp. I prefer more passive abilities and spells that don’t require so many GCDs.

I'd like JV gone and put divine protection there so we could have sov and Dp, I don't like the dust dawn play style I'd rather have blessing like holy got, and long arm of the law, also they necto ability we got is such a Nerfed version it's bad,and I'd love ringing clarity ,divine toll is boring without it

Might just be a tooltip change, it was always 20% every 2s for 6s I think. It’s not a bad talent at all, kinda depends on how much crit we get tho.
