I just can’t believe it .. He helped me get through the darkest years of my life .. And I will be dedicating my memoir to My children and Bobby .. He was more than this He told me once that if he didn’t go out doing what he loves he will be pretty pissed off ! Sending love to Connie and his family ❤❤❤❤..

Thanks for this video Dan and so glad to see that it is back home in Florida Randy. I had #3 of the original batch from Bobby and as I recall it was originally called the Drag-N-Fly by Bobby. Sold it back to Bobby and now have a B model that is just a joy to fly.

It is very sad to see this vedio. Respect mr. Boby. Love to see the pokra city, my loving place in paragliding. Greeting from sri Lanka ❤️❤️❤️.

Congratulations Randy, the Lord put you in the right place at the right time with the right gifts. I was blessed to be one of the first in Northern United States to be trained by Bill to tow when he and Bobby came to show us their new Dragonfly.

Randy, best of luck with the Dragonfly! It is sweet of you keeping the name "Bailey / Moyes"! It is very sad loosing Bobby just recently. He will be remembered forever! He showed a great example not only as a constructor and amazing pilot, but more so as a wonderful person with a very down to earth attitude! Many happy landings to you all! Adrian from Austria, Europe.

It would be neat if the Dragonfly could have an ultralight model added to the inventory! Wishing you much success Randy, congrats!

the pilot that flew a dragonfly across the country is rhett radford. he is currently one of, if not the best, tow pilots in the hang gliding community world wide. i've had the pleasure of being towed by rhett many times. he has many distance flights to his credit as well. 🙂

Very good and enjoyable interview with a new owner with passion and love of flight. Wish him well. A discussion of available power plants with the aircraft would have been interesting as well.

I've known this aircraft, but was not interested in it at all, now I do understand why it was ever created, and suddenly, everything makes sense. Good job to bring this one back into the air.

Bobby Bailey died April 19, 2024 when he test flew a customers plane that was assembled missing one wing bolt, plane wing separated at 350 feet agl, not survivable.

That's surprising that he couldn't get the ballistic chut out at 300 ft. I have seen two deployments around 150 ft and both were handheld parachute recovery deployments.
