it's cool that your not like some bands/artists who will put a copyright claim against anything that remotely resembles one of their songs. Cool people like you make the world a better place.

@evriph
@evriph Жыл бұрын
A lot of times it's actually the label that holds the rights to the song that does it, for all we know Sanctuary Records (copyright holder of Inhuman Rampage) might have copyright claimed the lego guitar cover video.
@xnetpc
@xnetpc Жыл бұрын
@@vinchazz that doesn’t surprise me. These companies aren’t going to take the time to determine who the legal owner is, they just check for audio that matches something in their catalog and claim it. It puts the burden of proof on the person getting the claim made against them. If these companies put more effort into Checking for legal use instead of claiming illegal use and waiting for someone to tell them differently, this would go from being passive income to an actual job

If you want to see a 1:1 cover on an Accordian, check out the Morander Brothers cover. The Spirit of Weird Al and patron god of polka flows through them. It's actually very well done and has some great homages to the original video. Alternatively, El Estepario Siberiano did an absolutely amazing drum cover of the song. The best part about Art for me is the joy it brings people that consume it and the fact that a song written 15 years ago now is still bringing joy to people and inspiring them to be creative in their own way. That value is almost immeasurable in some ways. And lets be honest, not all art can do that. Theres something special about this song and that album that it appeared on. It in my mind is as important to the cannon of rock n roll as stairway to heaven or Little wing.

Once heard an example, of how an amazing guitarist, typically doesn't look at an amateur & insult their lack of talent, maybe even suggest they shouldn't even try. That type of criticism, even if meant to be constructive.. only comes from those who DON'T try, let alone see themselves capable of doing what you're trying to do. Herman Li is a living example, glad that I'm in my 30's now & he's still drawing inspiration from his own fans.
