Dragonforce was one of his favorite bands and he worked his fingers to the bone trying to cover their songs, but one night I remember coming over and hearing him playing to Through the Fire and the Flames and he was incredible, even though me and my ex have been broken up for years now, I always remember how hard his brother practiced and I still feel proud of him to this day, I hope I can reconnect with him one day to tell him myself ❤

How little he moves is the exact opposite of Chad's energy, and somehow he looks even more robotic than Sugarfoot. This is insane. Wow. Great match up by the Drumeo team. So impressive. 😍

I’ve being listening to this song for over 17 years I never realize that this song have 5 different tempo for drumming. Dear god! I mean when you usually hearing this song you are listening to the masterful guitarist but dear lord this song is a monumental difficult song for drummers. Tip my had to you mister Ricardo what a marvelous performance

Please bring Aquiles Priester. By the way, he covered this song amazingly.

I got goose bumps! We all know the struggles we had trying to learn this song on guitar hero. Under 2 hrs, dudes got a 100GB of DDR5 and 100TB of storage in his brain! Holy shiet! Please bring Riccardo back soon!

The feet play on this song has to be something crazy to maintain live. Drummers are amazing dude.

When I was learning by ear in the 80s it took at least a few days, sometimes more than a week to learn a new song practicing 3-4 hours a day, these guys are doing some of the most difficult songs in a few hours. That's the difference between a pro and amateur, the amateurs get into an A/V Engineering trade school like me and record the pros.

the corrections on the fly were insane, very nice to see the struggle of great artists
@Skukkix23Ай бұрын
yeah the only thing annoying as a novice to see artists have struggles is that they usually come up with the perfect solution immediately. It seems so logical but you wouldnt guess the solution in a whole day.

I wish there is a channel like Drumeo but for guitarists. I love watching people learn a song and played it just few hours later.

Dave Mackintosh is actually the first drummer who inspired me to start playing when I was maybe 10. I said to myself, "I gotta play like that" 😂 I'm glad to hear him get a shout out, he is not recognized enough
@givenspadeАй бұрын
that’s exactly how I was but with Herman Li/Sam Totman for guitar. I rarely listen to them nowadays but they were the first metal band I have ever heard and they were my favorite band for a while. Also I very much agree how Dave is not mentioned enough! Besides Herman Li I can say the same thing for anyone else who has played in DF.

It is nice to see an honest play through by this dude. He is an awesome drummer i hope he gives up all the quantizing his own videos. Natural is where it is at.

Marlini is a fantastic drummer indeed, despite not memorizing the entire song and at times where he'd drum to the wrong beat he'd adjust right away and very smoothly

Man. I get music. Grade 9 Royal Conservatory of Music in Piano, played French Horn, dabbled in classical guitar, I 'have' played drums (mind you, I'd NEVER consider myself a drummer saying this); like I say. I 'get' music. Formal Theory, practical experience etc. WTF!? You just said it while I was typing this: "You're not human man". 'tumpa, tumpa'... I'm a coordinated human. Swimming, baseball, martial arts....I type 113 wpm. But WTF. Make me feel like I move in slow motion. That was totally amazing. Riccardo is amazing, and Drumeo? I've learned so much from you folks. Keep up the amazing work.

This is the best way to word something like this, I think! You're not bragging, you're using your qualifications and skills to back up your point.

As you can see, beeing a drummer in a metal band, is real hard work! I appreciate that! Thanks a lot!

I don't know why, but this actually choked me up a bit. Such an intense piece with so many unexpected changes, shifts and stops and Riccardo effing NAILED IT. Seeing genius like this (and that's what this is) is inspiring. Sure he didn't come up with this arrangement, but to learn it and play it with THAT MUCH accuracy within 2 hours is mind blowing. Love to see it! Thank you Drumeo for this series and for shining a light on all these amazing talents!

Amazing! And it's not just that it's such a stamina check due to the length of the song. It's so dynamic in how it can change from one go around to another.
