Dragonite has potential it's just missing a coin reflip card, If we can get that back. Dragonite could be pretty good. Potentially doing 280 for 2 energy is so good. Sadly so far they won't reprint a coin reflip effect

Why do they make 2 prize dragonite too hard to use? The one prize accelerated energy and was fun to use and play against. This is a down grade for sure from what's available right now. They could have made it a great tusk ex type attack that does great damage and hurts itself

As someone who wants to play _everything,_ if the choice is between Comeback Kid, Overplayed Charizard and Coin Flip McNo-Weakness, I'm taking the one that cares what my opponent does, not what my arbitrary RNG is. The PTCG would actually be an _excellent_ game if it wasn't for the clueless lack of balancing and the insistent prevalence of coin flipping.

It's still baffling to me that "this pokemon can't attack" is nullified if the same pokemon gets benched and then put back into the active spot. Imo that's dumb game design. Every other card game i know remembers the card as long as it's still on the field, anywhere on the field. Sure, if it was shuffled back into the deck, shuffled in the hand, shuffled among discarded cards, i'd understand for the effect to be lost, but come on, on the bench???? I can't even make a decent seismitoad deck because of this stupid "rule", the opponent can just boss order it away and i lose the extra damage on my toad.

Another piece of dumb game design is on the new Charizard's ability, which states if you play the pokemon from your hand to evolve, you put energy... But people just use rare candy, which DOESN'T PLAY the card, it just places the card on a basic pokemon. Once again, in every other card game, that would not be considered playing from hand.

A third piece of dumb game design, differentiating between damage counters and damage, especially because some effects treat it as the same thing, while others dont. It's such a messy design, it would have been better to keep them separated, like for example have damage counters reduce maximum health and you can't kill a pokemon with just damage counters.

Actually Yu-gi-oh doesn't remember if a specific card has already used it's effect when it leaves the field and then returns to it, some decks use this to loop soft once per turns.

Just have to play research, people seem to be too scared to play it in stage two decks when sets drop. Everyone's making the same mistake with charizard. Arceus also is a weird partner for it
