I did all that .. but the guard didnt talk to me. I took off all my clothes and wore just wore a cap like you and he immediately talked to me but lead me to a back alleyway.. then my screen went black and my controller wouldnt stop vibrating. it stopped as my character woke up in the Inn but now doesnt run as fast. now all the vendors talk to me and give me discount. not sure what happened.

I couldn’t even get the masquerade to begin, just some people standing there talking about it…I gotta restart the game lol, can’t remember where my first seeker token was or anything. And I’m pretty sure I locked myself out of a lot of early quests somehow. Never even got the quest to save the boy from the wolves I’ve heard people talking about being an early side quest. 😂 😭

The masquerade doesn't happen every night. You have to check with the attendant. Also if you're not above using mods and are on PC, there's a mod that marks your first seeker token

You have to be wearing all of the fancy clothes for the party to start. If you are wearing the clothes then you have to go into the secret room in the back to trigger the cutscene. As for your 1st seeker token you can make this way easier on yourself. You most likely picked one up in the first area in and around Melve. If you google Dragons Dogma 2 interactive map you will find a map that you can filter specifically for seeker tokens. Then just run to each of the locations until you find the Finders token. There is only roughly 10 tokens in that whole area so it won’t take long to find it. You’ll go to one of those locations and 1 of 3 things will be there. 1) nothing at all there meaning you picked up the token but it wasn’t your 1st. 2) you’ll see a seekers token you haven’t picked up or 3) you’ll see the a token there and it will be called Finders token. I also HIGHLY suggest doing this at night. At night the tokens emit a glow and some smoke which makes them easy to spot even from a distance.

There is another quest to get the shop open. It is a soldier in vermouth. Think the quest is called something about “the forge”. Just walk around the front of the castle close to the doors or by the garden and a soldier will stop u and give u the quest

Hmmm like your vids but this shop isn’t more powerful. My dead ringer is only upgraded (2 slots out of 4) and its strength is 741 already. Yours has 3 slots filled and 730 unless this is an older capture. Just curious is all

All weapons in the game have the same base power regardless of where you buy them. Currently My Dead Ringer show much less STR and Magic due to me being on warfarer rather than spearhand. 780 STR when on warfarer VS 830 when equiped with spearhand. I also upgraded using 3 Vermund upgrades for a STR and MGK increase. you could upgrade just bahtal for straight STR if you wanted. Upgrading with Dawrvin will sacrifice STR and MGK in favor if Knockdown. Hope this clears up any confusion :)

Some npcs can’t receive gifts. If they can, when you talk to them the “give gift” option will appear in your input context menu where your attacks would normally be labeled. Vendors and quest npcs can generally get them. There might be more npcs available than I’m aware of.
