Can’t wait to build a 9800x3d rig, my 4090 is in my 11th gen intel still, was solid for 1440p but recently got a 4k monitor and things dip now

That's not how it works? As you climb the resolution ladder, you'll end up more GPU-bound than CPU - thus relieving the CPU strains on the PC. Sure a 9800X3D will be an upgrade, but 4K is not the issue at hand :)

@ you are correct but to a certain degree. At 4k my 11th gen i9 is bottlenecking the 4090 even at 4k and dlss and fm utilize cpu too. If i had a newer cpu id prob not get the 9800x3d but i seen 9800x3d on a 4090 which is what i have and in dogma 2 they get 80fps+ in cities without dlss or frame gen on and on my 11th gen i9 and 4090 i get 45-50fps in cities, sure my ram is also older and slower but still.

Impressive, great video! I haven’t tested this game but have done some others. Upgraded to 9800X3D from 5950X and it was a truly noticeable jump, I’m very happy about it. Have a good next week!

Big fight in the city centre, best way to stress the CPU. It holds it's own, i wonder why the PS5PRO seems to have alot better CPU-performance relatively to similar pc components.

@@ThereisNOpandemicWAKEUP It's the *PRE RELEASE VERSION* so it runs worse than it did at launch. If you missed the method to unlock it when they gave everyone a 2 hour free trial, *wink wink* then it probably isn't worth playing until it gets some major community updates.

It won't run as good as the current version but it at least serves as a good demo for what you will enjoy in the game. Buying the game on a sale comes with the benefit of online pawns (from other players) pawn rentals (other gifting you items through your pawn) pawn knowledge being transfered from other players, better performance, more quality of life features, better graphics/performance tradeoffs, bug fixes. Personally i enjoy the game way better now than I did at launch. Launch didn't even have the option to create a new game.

This is one of my favourite games released in the last 5 years, along with Baldur's Gate 3 and Cyberpunk - it pleasantly surprised me. The 9800X3D is amazing but I'm a little hesitant to swap out my 9900X for an 8-core despite it being sufficient for my use case.

Are you running the game in 4k? If so you don't need to upgrade, if you play in fhd or 2k the difference will be noticeable.

@@rifkyyudiansyah8423 I do play at 4K and in most cases the 9900X will keep up, likely even with a 5090 when that arrives. That’s not the concern though, as there is often some situation I encounter in which the extra performance will help, especially when I play lightly threaded games (in which the 3D cache is actually quite impressive)

I love the Dragon's Dogma franchise. Too bad DD is like the black sheep for capcom, with MH being their star child. Im sure the experience they gained in using RE engine for open worlds in DD2 will be of much use for optimizing MH Wilds much better and much faster.

I need to try this game on my pc. I have an RTX 4070 super with a ryzen 7-7700X. I play TFD and it’s very demanding on my CPU. No issues though. Curious how it would handle this game now.

Thanks for the test. If possible, can you do test on how much this cpu affect fps gain by dlss(I mean is it give more fps on any dlss type : quality, balance & performance) compared to intel 14900k. And it need to be tested on 4k ultra.

Every Big AAA Capcom games has many deep gameplays ( Mechanics ) in them. I can easily tell that . Its not about finish the story or play 1 time . They built their games for us to train skill ourselve . From DMC to Monster Hunter . As my pov , game like wukong is for general player . Capcom Action h&slash like dmc is the right place for high skilled players .

You can force RT/PT settings using Graphics Suite. RT Reflections in this game look decent, but not game changing.
