I'm curious if he's considered using snotlings? A 6-10 strong unit gives you an unbreakable bottomless woundpool that your night goblins can fire their bows over. With the ability to block off entire sections of your opponent's army while you shoot at them with impunity. Also a lvl4 on a Wyvern instead of the orc boss. You can kit it out for combat enough to take out chaff and war machines. With the extra mobility allowing it to position for the best angles on spells like vindictive glare, or charge in and Fist of Gork a unit in combat. The other variant of this without combat is the lvl4 Nightgoblin Shaman on Flying Carpet. Also chariots as flank protection along with the squig hoppers could be interesting to fill the gaps with extra combat punch of impact hits it could serve as a replacement to the Boar Boys but with a smaller footprint.

This is exactly what I do with beastmen ungor (bsb with vitriolic totem) except imagine all those poison shots plus 2x viletides... Hopefully it works out for me at the SBO TO this coming weekend!

Wondering if you just want to put the vitriolic totem on Gor tho. You can easily be pumping 30 attacks with poison out the front of that unit.

@@adamsboringvids I was doing that, but then I decided to try the ungor into wood elves, baited in his dragon with a juicy chariot, he killed the chariot instantly, then my turn : plague of rust, poison shots/viltide and I peeled 8 wounds off him and he had to run his dragon away for the rest of the game which allowed me to clean up....then I was hooked. In like every game I play now theyre my mvp. If you go on BCP you can see my list in the SBO TO. Lots and lots of playtesting has gone into that puppy. Youll know its my list cause I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in the world playing poison ungors.

@@CruorVult92 I think max heroes on beastmen is a trap. If you look at what you get for a doombull or gorbull and then compare that to the points cost of 3 dragon ogres you quickly realize theyre not worth imo.

@@catalingavrilescu2317 fairly standard I think. Dragon with ogre blade, battle level 4 with black staff and ruby ring and dark Riders. But also had a big block of Witches with death Hag in, hydra, cold ones and harpies. Little bit of 'meta', little bit of fun.

@@ReiverGames how do you find the black stuff? I normally go for the lore familiar. what do you give the hag? executioner's blade? also, how do you use the hydra? I tried it and the kharybdis a few times and they didn't do much. I find them overpriced for their capabilities.

@@catalingavrilescu2317 I love the staff. You just get everything off, and the miscast aren't that punishing. I had the Hag with the Sword is Might, but in the future I would go executioners blade. She's just too fragile. If you aren't in a challenge (and winning) you just get targeted and killed. The big lads are probably overpriced, but the hydra always does well for me. Just have to play around shooting.

Tomb kings with 90 archers with bsb with banner that gives armour bane with serpent broach and a mage which allows rerolls of 1 from lore of nehekara. Only thing we don’t have is the tmp, but we can raise back our dead 😁

This ONLY works with large targets right? As soon as you use TMP, volley fire gets deactivated right? Also stand and shoot can only use the first rank. So, very difficult to deal with pegasus as soon as they go out of your front arc. Or am i mistaken?

you're correct, it's why Night goblins are particularly good at this (and imo the only ones who can do it) when they finally pin you down and Travel mysical Pathway fails you then have three fanatics to blunt the charge. you're aiming to have earthern ramparts up too so your horde gets a 5 up ward and stops the initiative bonus for the charge. if they charge into the unit after fanatics the unit takes effectively 6 d6 (or assuming 5 d6 considering the likelihood of a single double) s5 hits at ap3.

Because it’s worded anywhere within 12” not wholly within, only 1 guy out of the unit needs to be within 12” the rest could be in a conga line and could end up miles further away

Yeah that's a debatable one, lots of arguments and needs a clarification. As they say, it probably shouldn't be like that and needs an FAQ. Currently skirmish gors with Viletide breaks the game with it. Just don't do it if you want friends.

@@musictheorywizard4799 You don't reform you just wheel the unit and cause it 15 models wide (14.7 inch). So you go 12 inch forward then rotate 90 degrees so the end model is 26.7 inches away form the starting position.

It does - the most recent FAQ clarifies that if the unit changes position for any reason, they count as having moved.

Night Goblin Player here. I field 3 x 30 units of NG archers. I cant see how this works. Volley fire doesnt work if you move for any reason or stand and shoot. So it's only the 15 archers in the front rank that will ever fire unless you are stationary. Then you will just get flank charged. What am I missing?

The faq states that they follow the rules of charging from page 126 which is closest to closest etc etc. LOS is required to declare a charge which random movers do not do.

@@gilessmith-x1y would suggest rereading the faq. It explicitly states it follows the same criteria of page 126 which does not state los. To declare a charge you require los. Random movement does not declare a charge. The page 126 states it must be closest to closest in a straight line etc etc.

Goblin spider riders come with the poison attacks rule. So with the spider banner they auto wound on 5+. Why not take 30 of them!

The output for 1 spider = 2 normal gobbos, but the wounds are halved, so even if the spiders were cheaper IMO the NG brick is better

A dragon with a 3+ armor save, 5+ regen and 5+ ward save suffers 3 wounds on average from 90 shortbow shots even with poison. Is there any AP? I heard -3 AP but I don't see anything that would cause that.

@@musictheorywizard4799 as long as one of the models in the unit is within 12 inches of the units original position you can rotate however you please. the spell gives incredible flexibility to a unit of this size as I mentioned in the video.

Skirmish has the downside of losing half the unit when charged! Plus you lose out on Fanatics when going regular Goblins
