A minor thing about DreamWorks. From what I hear, the DreamWorks working on this franchise is not the same DreamWorks that worked on The Bad Guys and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. That there are originally two studios and one of them is DreamWorks Series Animation or whatever it's called, but it was bought out by Worner Bros. Studio and now the only thing they have in common with the company is the name. But again, I could be wrong. It was a short video and it was focused on that series, so I figured I wouldn't learn anything new anyway. So don't take this news seriously, but I'd like to find out what's going on anyway that we have this franchise that's in a pit of misery anyway, so fixing it is pointless at this point.

Regarding the HTTYD/Trollhunters theory, I have further more questions remembering what was in the comics and School of Dragons. Why the topic of the comic was similar to the Eternal Night and the witch actually looked like one of the Arcane Order- Bellroc in their human form? Why in Dragonvine there was actually an intelligent invasive human killing plant similar to those Nomura was killed with in ROTT and what was actually did by Nari? Now School of Dragons. The game pointed out there were LITERALLY UNDERGROUND CIVILISATIONS, but I have now questions if some of them were build by humans at all, what if they were in the reality trollish? In the Halloween event, WHY THE PLACE UNDER BERK WHERE YOU LEAD YOUR RIDER WAS SIMILAR TO FORGE OF HEROES AND IT LEAD YOU TO THE PLACE, SIMILAR TO THAT WHERE JIM MET KANJIGAR'S GHOST!? Now the theory: I think the Arcane Order was actually attempting their evil plans before Merlin, and let's say, if Haddocks were actually Trollhunters (like Jim's Viking ancestors in the books) before Merlin and Douxie invented the amulet, I think it was all planned from the beginning. The theory's getting more complicated, and I believe now there is happening something related to Trollhunters in the background of HTTYD. Drago was probably just their useful idiot and human equivalent of Gunmar before they invented "the Champions". I now believe Drago's family was in the reality murdered by the Order, and I believe they had Haddocks typed from the beginning considering the theory of Hiccup being Jim's ancestor. And I'm not even talking about the theory, some of Haddocks were maybe changelings before Morgana invented them in the show (similar to the theory of Jim's true form being half-troll, remember in books Gumm-gumms were kidnapping human babies already a long time ago, and Nullhullers "took" human form) since Astrid in HTTYD mentioned Hiccup is a son of a half-troll (maybe just an insult-who knows), and that Amulet chooses only trolls as Trollhunters, but this part of the theory is actually mind-blowing to me. Also, to the theory of Zephyr and Barbara being the same person, it would make sense now if she discovered about her family being Trollhunters (like in the books, also before the amulet was invented and probably why the Vikings chosed Hiccup's family as Chieftains), about the Arcane Order, finding somehow device to time travel and travelling to 12th century England to find more about what was happening. I can imagine after she started new identity and travelled to present day falling in love with Jim's father, she didn't mention she knew anything because she wanted to keep him safe.

You know, I am extremely angry about what Olivia did. Back in season 2, in Magma Breather, she knew Tom had a secret, and then said he could keep it until he was ready. Similar to how the Screaming Death is technically a whispering death, but mutated genes caused it to become a new species of the whispering death. I’m more or less surprised that there aren’t more screaming deaths in the future. Then again if there were, then the dragons would have a hard time living since the Screaming Death is virtually impossible to beat. Heck Toothless couldn’t beat it and I doubt the Nightlights would even be able to damage it.

Also not even two millenia have passed between the original and the time period of nine realms. That isn't nearly enough time for any dragon species to develeop any new visible characteristic, aside from maybe an already existing colour variation taking over in a population. (Not to mention mutation is really way more miss than hit and has barely any impact on most species evolution)

I think another disappointing thing in the show they could have explored. Connect buzzsaw, and Tom are their parents. From what we could tell from buzzsaw past that his mother forced him to do things he didn't want to do. So why go deeper with showing that buzzsaw has an abusive relationship with his family that most likely disowned him for destroying the lodging company and desperately tries to prove that he deserves some love for once in his life and shows us why he turned into psychopathic Billy Ray Cyrus. This contrasts with Tom and Olivia's relationship, which is based on love and understanding.

There is also difference between being predictable and good foreshadowing :'D Like "I can guess where this is going before season even starts" is pretty bad, but something being surprising in itself isn't exactly mark of quality because its easy to do "shocking twists" by virtue of not doing proper foreshadowing at all. So if you had to choose between being predictable and surprising, either is fine if execution in itself is interesting.

I actually said something like this before, but I took it in a different direction. I do think there is a good kind of predictably and a bad kind. Forms of media need to be unpredictably predictable. It’s fine if the audience knows that everything will turn out fine in the end, for example. It’s fine if they know that the threat will be defeated and everything will work out. However, the audience shouldn’t know _how_ the story reaches that point. They should not be able to predict the story beat for beat. Of course, the story shouldn’t just throw in twists just for the sake of being unpredictable either.

At this point, DreamWorks might as well erased this series and replaced with a new series canon over this. Alexandria and Eugene are should be in a better remake continuation series. Those two characters have interesting backstory and shown to have character growth. Most of characters should be noncanon. Tom act like a better Hiccup. But, Alexandria seem to more like Hiccup than the main character. All of the characters are forgettable and tend be annoying at times. Buzzsaw makes Jack Spicer and Kikimora a more competent villain than him.

If you ask me I think there is still going be another season since the is some tiny stuff that might be resolved 🤔 1. Why did Hiccup and Astrid return to the hidden world 2. Will Tom get to connect more with his roots 3. Buzzsaw is still a threat to the dragons 4. How will humanity cope with the knowledge of dragons 5. Now that dragons are back will be hunted for sport 6. What is the big mystery behind dragon site??? 7. Will jun and Tom get together (srry Tom x Alex…) 8. What are the other 4 realms( if I’m counting right ) 9. Will sludkin in danger the dragons along with the big bad company( I forgot it’s name ) 10. (Personal theory) is Hiccup buried in the hidden world? I think we might get another season because of the questions and I also have theory for the next season! Theory: If the parents are anything like Tom’s mom they’re going to demand a tour of the hidden world and maybe a set of new rules. Personal I see the adults of iccuras developing conflict with the dragons because of how dangerous they are, especially sludkin. If I’m right then she’s going to tell on the kids and expose the dragons to the big bad company and end up getting the dragons hunted for experimentation. Buzzsaw however is going to continue to be a dollar tree dagger for the whole season, and we’ll possibly see more Tom and Jun moments or they finally make it official if it’s not to soon. Who I’m kidding they do it any ( srry Tom x Alex, I love you 🥺) Srry this so long, tell me what you guys think 🙂

Wouldn’t have been cooler if we actually learn that his ancestor was a dragon hunter or something, and that they stole the book and all the stuff of Hiccup?! Make us believe on the lame plot of “yes he is in fact Hiccup’s ancestor, no one saw that coming” and boom, reveal that his ancestor actually hunted and killed dragons. And imagine when Tom learns that, the conflict in his mind. How do you tell your friends, who are risking their lives to save dragons, that you have blood connection to someone who killed dragons for greedy and selfish reasons. Or maybe Tom starts to feel guilty for something he didn’t do, feels guilty for the actions of his ancestors, starts to disconnect himself from the dragons and his friends. Actual emotional conflict.

Actually, the concept of the hidden world being Hiccup's resting place could have worked if written right. In the third movie, we saw Hiccup, Astrid, their kids, Toothless and Stormfly flying off with them being the few who know the secret about the dragons In The Nine Realms season 4, we saw the mural in the NightLights realm that showed how Hiccup and Toothless stayed friends and it was known to the NightLights more or less. Now here's where the resting place concept comes into play. Let's say that once Hiccup passed on his place as chief to his eldest child and retired, then he and maybe the other riders too spent their days in the hidden world with their children and grandchildren being the only ones who knew where they were. So when the time came that Hiccup died and maybe so did Toothless then Hiccup's children, now grown adults, would lay Hiccup to rest next to Toothless in the hidden world where he can be with his best friend and brother and among the dragons that he loved so much. The NightLights would guard the grave of their Alpha and his rider thus making a home in that realm hence its name as the King's Realm or whatever its called in reference to their Alpha Toothless who became the king of all dragons.

did someone remember the szene where Drago scares Hookfang? well i think they just try to copied that with Buzzaw´s timberjack but if they realy want to do that, they shuld watch their own films. BTW a funny fact: Dreamworks have the best villans a perfect example: Chen, Drago, Death OR Viggo... if this coment is a little bit weird its why im german and im not so good in English but verry nice Video i really enjoy this content.

I don’t know too much about helicopters, but yeahhh…. It gets to be around -20F sometimes in the winter here, and to even get our piston planes to start (because the oil does start freezing and turning thicker than molasses) we have to plug them into an engine preheater for at LEAST an hour before even TRYING to start them. They’re not sitting out frozen on the tarmac, exposed to the elements! And even preheated, we’ve had starts fail and had to cancel flights. If this helicopter has been sitting outside in the cold, and that cold is as bad as the episode implies… yeah, that thing was probably never getting aloft

One thing I didn't get don’t give the books name for the dragons, that the have kid's named. Not even a line like 'we just like our name for them.'. So Fire Jackels are still valid/better name for them.
