Hey mate, I'm relatively new to Souls and only got this weapon earlier but this guide has really helped clear some things up for me and saved me a respec lol. Also I use it with gundyrs armour set and undead legion helm

I love this weapon even though the damage is just moderate. In my Nameless King cosplay/build since you have 18 faith anyway best bet is to use the Sunlight Straight Sword as your secondary/fast weapon to buff yourself with its weapon art before dueling with the Swordspear. Very effective.

+QuantumMercury I actually use it for the weapon art first. Basically Sacred Oath without the crazy requirements and the damage/defense increases are noticable for both weapons.

125 is really where the meta is.

considering how defense works aren't things like split damage and weapon buffs useless since the extra damage would be below someones lightning absorption or something like that therefore making things like the lothric knight greatsword pointless compared to the black knights greatsword which doesn't have split damage just higher physical damage

Profaned GS has awesome AR and fire buff that's constant 100 ar increase

I was just kind of confused by that anyways why do you not go up to 40 vigor that extra 20 health with the life ring and ring of favor can be useful sometimes and it will leave you with 1401 health for invasions

The 2hR2 combo to 2hR1, have you tryed the falling bolt whit high or atleast 30 faith?, also, it seems that if you hit someone whit the bolt whit the weapon already buffed it deals increased damage, i have only tested it PVE so i dont know how it works on PVP, also, the falling bot got nerfed or "adjusted" as FROM likes to say, but still deals nice damage and can catch scared oponents afther 2 R1's

The 2HR2 I actually thought would be good but I found it tough to land but it could be an alt. combo to use for sure. I don't rely on the falling bolt cause it seems they did nerf the tracking but the damage is still there. I don't depend on it to hit opponents though.

Whit 2hr2 I mostly catch people who come at me whit running atacks or whit good spacing (that i learned thanks to you!! ), and i land at least one falling bolt on most of my duels, but i agree that its hard to pull, great videos man.

I thought it was neither a buff or a nerf. That the damage with hornet is different for most weapons also hornet ring is extremely important to invaders.

Does the 1H R2 combo into the second 1H R2 like the Partizan? (It's the same sweeping attack).

I haven't tested that, but I've noticed the 1H R1 doesn't stagger that long so I would assume no but would need to test it.

Yo your level is higher than me yet at the same time i have like 600+ right hand damage with the same weapon I used to think that was low and i was probably doing something more but currently i have 40/40 on str dex and 30/30 on int and faith. A lil bit for those hp's, fp's and vitality aswell Idk might help anyone out there. Probably not that good anyways
