Except that this game uses 6 Buttons while Neo Geo has 4 Buttons and I don’t think I recall Konami ever released their own games on the Neo Geo Arcade System as well.

It's weird how many 2D fighting games insisted on asymmetrical character designs, knowing full well they weren't going to go to the trouble of drawing new sprites for when the character turned the other way. As dumb as it otherwise was, I think _MK3_ was one of the few to actually take sprite flipping into account and give Jax a of pair metal arms rather than just one.

As a casual who grew up during that time, Konami just couldn't make a fighting game with flagship characters that captured our imagination, like Ryu, Guile, and Chun-Li. Hell even World Heroes has cool characters like Janne and J. Max.
