yes, it's such a small thing but so helpful for newer players, they should remake all guides with the input history, without them just make guides harder to catch on
@sinofchaos107 ай бұрын
I agree so much, I'm a new player trying to learn and the worst ones I have seen are super long videos with no timestamps, no command history, no pictures or anything. Worst of all, they don't even mention the inputs they just did and go "you do this move".
@WindrushKrew2757 ай бұрын
after a while of playing you get the hang of it. 1234 (as you may know) correspond to LP RP LK RK respectively. You'll start to see that a move with a certain limb will include that notation. It might include a few directional inputs to trial and error but you'll get it for sure. Although i do agree with you.

Very clear and easy to understand, easy to follow along, with great reasonings of why some moves are good and why some aren't, frame info and what to look out for. Excellent guide on combos as well detailing each step of the way. All from an expert player with good knowledge. Thank you sir!

Looking into Dragunov now and you're video seems like a good entry point :) Thanks for that! One important thing though: It's super hard to (acoustically) understand your input descriptions sometimes. I'm pretty new to Tekken and a lot of words just merge into another, especially if you talk a little faster. An on-screen input visualization would help a lot, especially for the bread and butter moves.

Adding Dragunov to the roster to complete the Russians (Alisa is already there and is my best character right now in terms of both rank and winrate) I am currently struggling to get the Dragunov I have off the ground despite the fact I KNOW he's insanely strong it turns out he requires more technique than I previously thought to play well. I do know one thing it will be a BIG deal when I nail him since he was an absolute terror in early Tekken and nobody could beat that Dragunov player vs the Smash bros audience so that gives me a metric of his significance.

I will say the combo section of this video is a bit lacking, especially because it leaves out df3+4 with is essential for getting nearly 20 more damage in most combos that this video showcases, even in the more simple combos this move is uses, also for anyone lacking in execution, WS 1, df transitions into sneak in the same way FCdf1,4 does, so you can use that instead, and it deals similar damage, and makes the dash after the screw a little easier
@deadlyfear139 ай бұрын
hey can you recommend me a combo with df3+4 ?

Before most enders you can sneak in a df3+4 for about 10 extra damage. Example Qcf2, df3+4, 4,4, WS2,df SNK2, dash, df3+4, 3,1,df SNK1+2

What input is the full crouch throw? Nobody ever mentions the input when they talk about it
@alphaamigo96889 ай бұрын
Drag doesn't have a throw out of full crouch, so I'm gonna assume you mean the crouch throw that will hit crouching opponents, or opponents forced into a crouch after ff4 or CH4,3. The input is just d + your generic throw input (1+3 or 2+4).

Sorry to say, but this guide is simply not good. Not to say it's not containing valuable information, but it's just badly structured, harder to follow than it needs to be because of the obvious language barrier, and missing something that is vital for beginners: notations on the screen to know what moves are currently being talked about. I know my notations so I can mostly follow along, but it still would be a lot easier with on screen notations. Some moves are not talked about in detail, and I don't know the input by itself, so I'm SOL. Props to Sephi for giving his insights in the first place, but from a consumer perspective, this ain't it chief. Hope you're taking this as the constructive criticism it is meant to be, instead of me just hatin.
