Drain plug Internal Bilge Pump Mod Kayak Hobie Adventure Island, Tandem Island, Revolution

My first tutorial.. I using my kayak drain plug instead of drilling into the actually kayak. Its a check valve not a p trap... That will improve your gas mileage and speed quite a bit by not having to carry a bunch of ocean water. Good idea.

Thanks steve! So what do you think about taking the AI to Bimini? 53 miles straight from Miami but with the north current im thinking launching out of key largo. Im estimating worst case 83 miles traveling at 6knts. About 13hrs. You think its doable?

Andy cool Idea brother,if the spring u used gets rust maybe u can use a salt water aquarium check valve, no spring on those but im not sure if it will work just a idea brother!

Thanks ricky! I didn't even think of aquarium check valve. Well it hasnt show any signs of rust hopefully it'll stay that way. Probably better idea to use aquarium check valve instead tho. thanks again

Good morning! I wouldnt say its normal to have water to the center hatch but everyone i know who owns Adventure Island has some water in their kayak. I think its thru the ruder cables. Specially on rough days i have more water than usual..

Hey Johan! water slowly leaks in thru my rudder cable as it get submerge when in motion. even more when I bring someone out with me. it's not that bad going solo but with a friend it's pretty bad as you could see in my previous video I was able to use my mirage drive area as a live well lol.. As for the battery. I'll send you 2 links. Not sure on how well it will work on your troll motor as it draw more amps.
