He simply played into it but he’s literally been quiet the whole time lol. Go away for about 2 years make the ppl miss you then lock in and come back with some top tier music. I don’t ever see that happening because that’s not Drake, he thinks he needs to be constantly in the spotlight. Drake lost the mystery (if he even had any) because he shows to much. Kendrick is on top of the world and it’s nothing Drake can do about it he just gotta control what he can control and move on from it.

The reason why this joint's scheme and cadence sounds the same as previous schemes and cadences by him is because he only has one writer left, and this one writer has that one style. If you go back to all of the leaked reference tracks, you can pinpoint who was with him at what time, helping him write different songs, based on that other artists style. But since nobody really fucks with him anymore, he has to stick with who sticks with him, and it ain't a whole lot of people left. So expect more of of the same as this...

The beats he uses are sooo lazy, no life in them and then his raps flows all blend together (if there’s not a fake accent in them) that so much of his bland music just blends together. And it’s only gotten so much worse in the later years. Pick a random song and I won’t be able to tell you if it’s from clb, fatd, care package, dldt, etc. his music so boring how he remained this successful this long just tells me rap fans and basic radio and pop fans are immensely lazy and lack personality.

You know, people keep talking about how “Not Like Us” destroyed Drake. All the focus has been on “Not Like Us,” but that’s not the song that destroyed Drake. It was “Meet the Grahams”. If there’s no MTG, then there’s really no NLU. Here’s how I see it: “Euphoria” is the prelude to the battle-a warning cry to Drake not to get personal and keep things friendly. Then, “6:16 in LA” is the second warning and foreshadowing, telling Drake that he knows about things and that he shouldn’t trust his OVO partners who might be giving Kendrick information. The other thing that people gloss over regarding “6:16 in LA” is that Kendrick mentions that he knows Drake put money on the street to dig up dirt on Kendrick, but the goons found nothing on him. That is what prompted Drake to look at Kendrick’s album “Mr. Morale” and use that to smear Kendrick, making up stories about him and his family (see “Euphoria” opening where Kendrick tells Drake he knows that Drake is going to make up stories based on his album “Mr. Morale” and that’s exactly what Drake did). Kendrick was methodical about everything; he “predicted Drake’s angles”. Many will look back at this beef and realize that the other three Kendrick diss tracks-Euphoria, 6:16 in LA, Meet The Grahams-are much more prophetic and destructive than “Not Like Us,” which to me, merely represents Kendrick dancing on Drake’s grave after he killed and buried him on “Meet the Grahams”.
