He was signed to multiple labels, had hit records, his music still played to this day in movies, clubs, tv shows, etc. He made a name for himself in the rap game. Some of the Greatest people in History who stepped into the Music Industry STILL took advice from people who didn't make it and LEARNED. They took the knowledge, appreciated it and applied it to their career. Drake is being WAY too Cocky and I feel like that's what's gonna be his downfall. There's an old quote "Pride comes before the Fall"...Don't take your success for granted and abuse it because it can be taken away just as easily. Drake also needs to remember that a large majority of his success came from the help of the Internet. Previous legends before him didn't have the Internet and was able to gain their success from TRUE HARD WORK...I often wonder if Drake's success would have been just as great without the Internet...

As artists age, the music they make is bound to stagnate. It happens to everyone. Take Michael Jackson for example, Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad were him at his peak. Whilst Dangerous, History and Invincible are good albums, they are not as impactful as the first three. It's the same thing with Drake, there was a novelty factor that made his earlier albums great. He was new and he had a point to prove, so people naturally connected with his underdog journey. Now that he's been at the top for a decade, he has nothing left to prove to anyone, and so it affects the music because the desire that fuelled his earlier stuff is no longer as potent.
