I remember trying to use it for simple things and having insane turnouts. Simple geometry becomes unaligned with the grid and causes more issues the more you try to fix it.

I almost never use carve tool, only to make cylindrical tunnels, or half pipes and stuff, but when I do, it never bugs out like what's seen in this clip. Guess I'm lucky, but I also almost never use it, especially for simple brushwork like a doorway.

it's fine as long as you're working with a perfectly formed square with no non-right angles whatsoever. And don't you even think of using a cylinder.
