When I was 10 years old Zolak was the backup QB on the Pats. I was doing a school report on football, and my mom worked with one of his friends and he let me give him a interview for my report! Thought he was so cool for that!

Drake Maye knows he is the best QB on the team. That doesn’t mean he will start week one. But it’s hard to see a scenario where they don’t turn the reins over to him this year

Everybody looks good in practice but I thought Drake looked, small, high schoolish size QB. If that line can't protect him, we'll Joe Milton in pretty quick.. The size and athleticism looks, larger than I thought between the two.

@@gwhite7136 I saw Joe Milton in person at the Tennessee vs Alabama game and he is a grown man for sure. He looks like a TE and has great athleticism for his size. If he can develop as a passer than the Pats might have something. Right now Maye is clearly further along to being a pro QB but that does not mean Milton can’t get there he just has further to go than Drake Maye

@@googlechicken I see nothing in stat comparision to make me believe Maye has any advantage over Joe. I mean look how razor thin the stats are between the two and keep in mind, Joe played in the SEC against teams like Bama vs Drake in the ACC. Joe, six years in the college systems. One years starter. Drake two years in college as a starter, 4 years younger. closer to 5. Both 20 -24 passing TD's last season. Joe beat him in accuracy in the SEC vs Drake in the ACC. Joe has every physical advantage over Drake and his NFL combine fitness just destroys Drakes. Drake, 10 INT's in the ACC. Vs Joe 4 INT's in the SEC.. What does further along look like in stats, cause I'm not seeing it. Jayden Daniels, yes. and Joe was higher ranked than Jalyin MIlroe whose up for a Heisman watch this season and played in the natty game.. Plus, did you notice that Drake comes up to Joe's chin? That guy is not 6'4 lol, not even in high heels.. lol I'm rooting for him but look what happened to Mac Jones and he is by far a better QB than either one!! The Pats line, if its not improved, whoever is QB is going to be sacrificed to severe pain. Gotta be a guy that can take the hits and maybe unil that line improves they needed a big dude who gives them a chance. They will hurt Drake who would fair physically, less well off than Joe. Once they are better, bring Drake in.

@@gwhite7136 6 years in college one year as a starter pretty much tells the story. Drake Maye started as a true freshman and had a phenomenal year. Last year North Carolina had lost a lot of talent to the draft including Mayes favorite target Josh Downs and he still put up acceptable numbers. I like Joe Milton an I’m happy the Pats took him he has a cannon for an arm and is pretty athletic for his size. He is not in the same area code as Drake Maye as far as playing the position right now. It’s really not close

He’s 21 give him time. No need to start week 1. Mahomes sat his first season. Make the line better. In the mean time let Jacoby go win 5 games and we can get the best guard in next yrs draft to protect drake when he does start week 1. Drake can be one of the best QBs in the nfl. Dont ruin his confidence with him getting sacked 5 times a game this yr with a weak line and arguably the hardest schedule in the nfl.

Once these QB's get undone, they don't recover. Last year we were horrible on offense. We have a new coaching staff and question marks all across the OL. Sit Drake for a month and just see where we are at. He has the talent to be a good QB, no need to rush him.

@@stephenmartin6430 Exactly . Don't Tim Couch him. Tim Couch was the top QB in high school, the top QB in college and the 1st overall pick for the Browns. They let him get the hell beat out of him for several years and he was gone. His confidence was shot. They ruined him. The Pats need to take care of Maye. They may never get another one like him.

That and he looks, undersize. Looks like a Ivy League QB lol. Not a knock on him but man Joe looks massive compared to Drake. I'm still not sold Drake is better than Joe. Not as physical we know that but ACC vs SEC with very similar stats last season. May the best man win.

Polk and Baker are bonified possession receivers. Patriots need speed/playmakers and should've drafted Adoni Mitchell and yes because they could've drafted both Troy Franklin. Instead they just keep on drafting the same old crap at receiver.
