@Drake Milligan is a singer/songwriter from Nashville, TN, and well-known for portraying Elvis on the CMT series Sun Records. Most recently he has appeared on American Idol, and is a Season 12 contestant on America’s Got Talent. Drake is bringing back the country style we all know and love.
In this LIVE performance, Drake performs "Cowboy Kind Of Way", shot at Interstate Music in Milwaukee, WI. This performance showcases Drake’s soulful country sound comes through strong as he gives a taste of his newest album Dallas/Fort Worth, which became available on September 15th, 2022.
Milligan enlisted industry icon and Americana Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Tony Brown to produce Dallas/Fort Worth. Brown is known for his work with the likes of Brooks & Dunn, George Strait, and Vince Gill. A plethora of legendary Nashville songwriters, such as Bill Anderson, Dean Dillon, and Monty Criswell, assisted Milligan in writing the tracks that appear on his debut album.

His band as I commented before is the very best, as good as anyone's out there.I am a huge fan for the whole group, if they don't reach the very top of country we are in trouble. I just made this statement earlier in our fan club. Does anyone know Mannheim Steamroller? Even though Country Music and Christmas music is miles apart from each other they still have something that sets these two way way beyond the other artists. This is called originality. You never know wha'ts coming next in a piece put out by Mannheim. Same way with Drake and the guys.Their interpretation of a song is years and years ahead of others..I say to you guys. I'm totally hooked. From the first time I caught a Drake Milligan video on KZbin through the AGT shows to right now. I drive my big ole Pete down the road everyday and their songs are my go to many a day. I know pretty much every song by heart now and thoroughly enjoy watching them play them in these live performances. I haven't binged an artist like this since Chris Stapleton's debut album and for me it's maybe well beyond that. Great musicianship and songs. In today's music industry they hit me like a breath of fresh air. Hope they come and play in KC.
