This takes me back to December 2015. I was buying Jordan's for my little brother, Caleb. I mean, I was 16 and had money, so I was gonna get him that for his brithday. This song played on the way to the hospital when he died. God bless his soul. 8 years later, I hear this, and I broke into tears remembering Caleb. This is just pure gold. Drake was real good back in the day. I will always remember the day Caleb died. This song is just pure gold.

@@markhammond8917 40 made the intro and outro. JL made the general beat for Rick Ross (Austin Martin Music). Then Drake also hopped on it and 40 did his magic. Tastes do differ, but don't ever disrespect 40. All that 'underwater' effect (degrading the sample rate) is 40 at work behind his Maschine.

So I was on the phone with my brother the other day & he told me how are people supposed to look up to you as an Inspiration If you always have your head down & that Inspired me to write this, We all have our trials & tribulations, you know, I hope this shit touches somebody. I call this track *CALL* Start at 1:07 I saw your call, I'm sorry that I missed It I been busy tryna handle all this business How you been? I haven't had time to come & visit Ever since I found out bout my baby I been on a mission Rapping ain't a dream no more I'm living out my vision I been cookin' beats, dishes pilling, I been slaving In my kitchen I hope you understand I never meant to hurt, Never meant to leave you, Wasn't meant to be It's not In God's plan Look, 2020 vision, this Is how I'm coming I face my problems head first you'll never catch me running My brother told me that my time Is coming All It took was that to keep this pressure coming I go stupid on the beat, but, I'm not a dummy & I find It funny They hating, but, It's all eyez on me They quick to comment on the life I live like they know me But, we ain't ever been cool & you ain't ever been a homie, for sure Look, tell 'em pray for me Ain't no saving me Or anybody In my way I slay them & the beat Nobody on this track can fuck with me You knew that luckily You smart for not trying your luck on me They missing every shot I never miss, Im hitting every shot Just to make sure that we gon' double back around the block Tell 'em that I want the smoke my lungs can hold alot I'm In this till the end aint no way I'll ever stop

Would've came back for you I just needed time to do what I had to do Caught in the life, I can't let it go Whether that's right, I will never know Hope you forgive me, never meant wrong Tried to be patient, but waited too long But I would've came back, but I would've came back for you Would've came back, would've came back I talk slicker than a pimp from Augusta Who just had his linen suit dry-cleaned Bitches, what's up with y'all? I hate calling the women "bitches", but the bitches love it I took some sense and made a nickel of it I'm urging all daughters to kiss their mothers With those lips that all that lipstick covers You're never too grown up to miss and hug her And girls counting on me to be there like missing rubbers I'm on some Marvin Gaye shit, a bunch of distant lovers This ain't the life that I'm used to Reintroduced to people I've been introduced to Did you forget me? Or are you too scared to tell me that you met me And fear that I won't remember? I wish you could still accept me for me I miss Memphis, Tennessee, my cousins, my dad The simplistic beauty that all of them Southerners have I'm halfway across the world with dozens of bags Feeling like all four members of Color Me Badd In one nigga, amazing shit I got that Courtney Love for you, that crazy shit I don't drink every bottle I own, I be aging shit And I got them wedding ring flows, that engaging shit Which one of y'all got fleets on your keychains? The seats for these Heat games? I really think that you stare at yourself and you see things La Familia, I've been inducted and instructed To stunt on these niggas we don't really fuck with, fuck is up? Having lunch and debating Ferrari prices 23 and going through a midlife crisis But trust me, I still deliver like a midwife And no, I'm not saying I'm the nicest, I just live life like it Uh, it take a certain type of man to teach To be far from hood, but to understand the streets I never threw away that paper with my Grammy speech Because I haven't hit the pinnacles I plan to reach Yeah, you gotta own it if you want it Kisses all on her body, she tells me live in the moment And, baby, I'll never forget none of that Girl, I told you I was coming back, I Would've came back for you I just needed time to do what I had to do Caught in the life, I can't let it go Whether that's right, I will never know Hope you forgive me, never meant wrong Tried to be patient but waited too long But I would've came back, but I would've came back for you Would've came back, would've came back
