The second portion of this song encapsulates everything I and many have come to appreciate about "old" drake. The bodacious, yet melchonic instrumental with the very personal yet methodical melody and lyrics. The idenity is almost identical with "Days in the East" specifically, the second portion. Although this is my very favorite "era" of drake, I still appreciate a lot of the new sound the new album brings and enjoy listening to it. It's very interesting because this sound is so distinct in Drake's history that no matter what else he may bring to the table I will always resonate with this "version" of Drake ten fold.

I agree 100%, this song gives me Drake vibes from the “Thank me Later” to “NWTS” era. That was his golden era to me. I do think he has dropped some great singles and albums since then but not many have captured the essence of almost being 2 songs in one. The transitions from the “hip-hop bars” into the melodic R&B type beats is what makes a “Drake song” a classic for me and this is it without a doubt.
