i havent been on social media (except youtube) for months (almost a year atp) so im so out of the loop with everything. u can see how i was so suprised with the whole "you feeling it thing" cos ive never felt more at peace after quitting social media. i for sure feel the struggle, i live in a 3rd world country and i j started work w/ 9 hour work shift that pays kinda low lol. but ive never been more happier.
@NacrunoCreations9 ай бұрын
exactly what i thought. i havent quit but that was my first thought too. i think in 30 years we will look back in awe at what was happening in the 2020s. we are voluntarily frying our brains and making ourselves feel horrible. screen time is at record high levels and its obviously making a huge majority of people angry, on edge and depressed. something has to change asap.
@oiyile19719 ай бұрын
Agreed. I think it's just people that are bored and are looking for struggles in their life. We have multiple ongoing wars and genocide. Being far away from all that, I feel happy. Only the Day of Judgement (in Islam) is the true final day.

I'm pretty sure it's just fear of death. The impending danger of it. They just are in denial of it or something. Cause worse things have happened in history, really worse things, things that can never be repeated. And to sit there at 57 on your comfy chair and be like ermh but like I feel that the End of Neon Genesis is gonna be recreated in my lifetime XD just screams I am bored and find life dull.

Societal collapse maybe?
@snottyboy99839 ай бұрын
lol I totally get you. I wrote a theory of everything during a manic episode recently where I predicted a paradigm shift where humanity will rapidly start evolving and society will crumble. I was basically insane tho so idk how much weight that has and it was probably all nonsense. ✌️
@noneofthiseverhappened9 ай бұрын
I mean something bad will definitely happen, cause yknow 7 years of abundance to 7 years of famine, but not necessarily in our lifetimes. So to sit there and doom about it is just silly, just live. When it does happen no one will have the mind to care to say "heh I told you so" cause the event will be that bad. Plus there have been a lot of changes for the better, especially medically. I don't know what you want better than that. But anyways my prediction is EMP meteor that kills off all tech and leaves us in shambles, will probably take us decades if not centuries to recover.

Listening to this discussion really got me thinking about the potential implications of the Dead Internet Theory. It's unsettling to imagine a world without the internet, considering how deeply it's woven into our lives. The points raised about societal resilience and adaptation were thought-provoking. It makes you wonder how we would cope and what alternatives might emerge. Definitely a conversation worth having as we continue to rely on digital connectivity more and more

I love that noel mentioned this eerie feeling also about public anxiety. Im from georgia so I have never felt comfortable going to atlanta and with that, all the fun activities are based in atlanta. my fav artists would always pick the most dangerous areas in atlanta to perform so I’d miss on a lot. then this eerie feeling for me it based on overloaded anxiety of never feeling safe in the united states. like the US hide and lie too much, I feel like we have no future here as much as they say we do.
