I was on a beach in St. Lucia with my entire family, extended and all. Finding out this song is about her mom who committed suicide hits me so hard. I feel her pain, and I just cry. I cant relate to that particular feeling but I went through a very abusive relationship during quarantine and almost lost my life. I felt very low. I sing this to myself because I’m so much better now that I’ve left. But it also makes me think of my baby boy and how he probably felt this way while we had to go through all of that. When I first heard this song, I said the same thing. This is God talking to us. And, he gave me scriptures to back it up. Jeremiah 29:11 Matthew 20:16 It’s hard sometimes, we may feel weary and unsure, but God loves us so much. I know I needed this and I know someone else does too.
