As Alexander is my favorite summon, it was neat to hear and see he somehow got a random battle with final form Kefka of all people.

In FF14, Alexander is like the ultimate paradox. Its body was created in the past, born as an eikon in the present, summoned in the past and then awakened again twice over, where it realized that its original purpose was in itself a logic paradox and set the whole chain in motion to not only ensure its own destruction but also its creation. Also it has one of the most bangin' soundtracks of any raid in FF14!

And its plan evokes the imagery of the Gordian Knot - solving a problem (Alexander's purpose threatens the safety of the world) by removing the problem altogether (erase itself from existence). And yes, the soundtrack is awesome.

I love Alexander in ffxiv cause he was created to make a perfect world and he looked forward into trillions of futures and the only one that a perfect world is made is one where Alexander dies, so he sacrifices himself so that world he saw would become reality

That's not at all the story of the tower of Babel. Because of man's arrogance in thinking they could reach heaven by their own means, God confounded the language of the people so that they couldn't communicate with one another and finish the tower. That confusion scattered everyone into different groups according to the tongues spoken. I think most cursory glances at the story explain that much.

@@DrakeyC I wasn't saying go into detail, just that the basic summary given was wrong. It would be like saying Odin was an elf born from the Yddrasil and became a god. Elements of truth in there, but incorrect.
