A beautiful performance of this song. I thank you all for this performance, from an American. I wish a lot of our own performers would show this much respect for these kinds of songs, as you all did. Standing ovation from the state of California USA

This great old American Civil War era song is neglected nowadays; thank you for reprising it!

A beautiful rendition of the American Civil War hymn. Done the way Julia Ward Howe intended it to be sung - 'as He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free.' Thousands of Union soldiers did just that!

You will weep if you learn that at one time in the history of South Africa (where these boys come from) APARTHEID (the segregation of whites from blacks) was observed in that country which caused a lot of pain to the entire population both whites and blacks. When the United Nations declared apartheid as a crime against humanity and a black president won, the cultural heritage of South Africa bloomed into a very beautiful blend which is epitomised by the Drakensberg Boys Choir.

And now apartheid is back, but ruled by blacks, whom is turning South Afrika into a third world country, and killing whites.

To be completely honest, I don't like kids and will go out of my way to avoid them. But for the DBC...I would make an exception. Listening to this version of the old song, I love the voices and harmonies, but I also have to congratulate the choir master who arranged the song. They deserve as much credit as the boys.
