As the great South African singer Zolani Mahola said, Johnny Clegg didn't just write great songs, he wrote anthems -- anthems that changed a nation by building bridges that united South Africa's many cultures and brought respect to South Africa's indigenous people. That is why he was given the praise name "Skeyi" -- one who can hold things together. This is one of his most beautiful anthems, both in its musicality, and for all it says (about needing to be connected to something larger and meaningful than just oneself), and all it evokes about the many beauties of Africa and its people. Johnny Clegg was a great philosopher-poet as well as humanitarian. You boys more than do justice to all this great anthem is and to the legend who wrote it. RIP Johnny.
