I love the look of this game, but a mother and daughter sabotaging the tungtvann operation is a bit too cliché as a WW2 story. It would be much more of an amazing mission if it was the Norwegian commandos as it was in real life. But still it's a well made game.

Greetings from Norway. I love that you are playing as norwegian soldier, and a female one too which is very unique for a Battlefield game. And the best part is during cutscenes they use our norwegian language with english subtiles.

It’s visually beautiful, but the reason this game failed so hard is that in the name of inclusivity it inserted female protagonists into events where historically there were none. WWII had plenty of brave, talented and capable female spies and combatants, but not in the places shown in this game.

​​@@jrotelayo i know its 2 years ago you wrote this comment and either probaly dont give a sh*t or know it now but this mission is supposed to resemble a real ww2 story of 4 male norwegian commandos destroying the german heavy water supply and almost everything was missrepresented in the game, trashing real history. In the game you have a mother-daughter story, irl 4 commandos. In the game a sub transports the heavy water and gets blown up by a shrapnel grenade wich wouldnt work irl (and yes there were some explosives nearby but seriously that wouldnt be enough to destroy this type of sub), irl it was a steam powered ferry. In the game there was lots of shooting during the infiltration of the facility, irl there was none. And then dice and ea say they want to tell untold or largely unknown ww2 storys and dont have any historical accuracy.

​@@RC--lm8tj I agree with you on all point. But i also don't feel anything new in the game at all, it is so minor it's hard to notice. The graphic is some slight higher than previously games. But when it comes to f.eks. Getting spot, same as always, you can just go low, slow, or some other stuff that work unrealistic compare to real soldiers that actuals has side vison or real emotion (makes him take the situations serious, and not just sit down, if you hide for 40 sec.) This just kills it for me....This problem i feel all over all genera, hopefully this will come with time. I need to feel the power of what war feels like. That's the hole reason for taking up a war game that is specifically set for a historical event. Fun???? A game, movie, music and so much more entertainment stuff are to make feelings to the user. Sadly EA as so many other creator of content, failed to see this and only think in the way of profit, making things that would in all realness, make grown men cry if they made it real, but focus on action and fun. Fun yes, that is something often used in entertainments, and stand high in it. but if you pick up wargame that follow real event, it is not fun that should be the highest prior. And for the people actual can understand what Im writing here, it feels sad that this is something that I felt needed to be said. Not to you personally RC, but generally.

Depends on how you want it to look. I have a gtx 770 2gb, 16gb ram and the early i7 4000k series and i can run it with 60fps on low no problem. However, it is mainly dependent on your GPU and ram if you look at the specs. If you want the full experience you will need a pretty beefy computer. It is recommend that you have a ryzen 3 1300 or and i7 4790 as a processor + 12 gb of ram and a graphics card with 6-8 gb of vram to really get immersed... For gear you won't really need much other than a decent headset

@@otterino1419 There are a lot of valid points to not like the war story (particularly on the stealth missions) but saying that it's a rewrite of Operation Gunnerside is just a downright lie. Even when people point that out, there are still others who want to persist it's a rewrite of a historical event... completely missing the ending part of the story where it was stated that the Commandoes (the group from actual history) successfully destroyed the factory without shedding a single blood. That's what annoys me, so much.

@@Thanju well there's a difference, if this was a fictional war, i'd have no issue with it, but it's based on a real war, with real events, with real people who risked everything and many who gave their lives to fight for the comfy future we enjoy today, but they're being ignored and tossed aside for political correctness in today's landscape, i had lots of family who died during ww2 in Norway, never knew them of course, but they were all military or resistance, so it's sad to see stuff like this. My great grandparents and their siblings who died weren't in THESE events, but i'd be so sad if i ever saw a movie or game where they just outright erased them from history, especially if the only motivation was political clout. Even if it's set in WW2, why not make the operations fictional, you know?

What you on about? The Norwegian resistance was heavily active during WW2. Hell, Norwegian Commandos (trained in Scotland) were deployed in Norway to sabotage Heavy Water facilities that the Germans were using.

Your name's Serbian right? well, i can see why you'd feel that way considering the discription of how Yugoslavia fell in WW2 was "swiftly" and before that your government signed a pact with the axis forces, but it wasn't like that everywhere, Norway never signed any treaty or official surrender, we lost, sure, but we held out the longest out of all the countries attacked and our resistance movement was considered the most effective in all of nazi-occupied Europe. You should probably google these things before you type, we had 1 radical group that supported the Nazi's that was placed into a puppet government when our real government was evacuated to the UK, and the leader of that group was one of the extremely few people in Norwegian modern history to be executed. There's a lot of very interesting stuff to read about the Northern resistance during WW2, i recommend it. So in fact, you COULD learn history from this game haha, just replace the women with men, which is sad, the heroes of ww2 who risked or gave their lives to fight evil are essentially being tossed aside for contemporary political brownie points, the devs should be ashamed, i'm just glad my great grandfather who was in a ww2 resistance group didn't live to see this.

It feels to me like there's no real reason other than representation. Maybe make the girl grow up with the fighters and she would go on missions with her dad and other commandos.
