DramaSyd - I really appreciate and value your comments: you know what you're talking about and you express yourself extremely well. You are definitely one of my favorite music video reactors, especially when it comes to Home Free! As for 'going too deep' - no, not at all. I'm watching this while the Pandemic is gripping the country and the world. I believe what you said: "music transcends and gives us hope for a future when we don't see any way to a future." Thank you.

I've listened to Home Free since The Sing Off. I may not like every one of their songs but I appreciate every song as they sing so beautifully. Music, literature, and the arts are so important to humanity. What are humans but the melodies, stories, and images we leave behind? Home Free bill themselves as country a cappella but they transcend that label in so many ways. My dad who hates country music loves Home Free. Why? They appeal to his soul, his humanity, the part of him that loves. I learned my love of music and literature from my parents, and specifically music from my dad. I'm so impressed with your reactions and the way you go deep. I appreciate your comments and especially how you allow us to see your emotions and allow the music to transport you. It's a beautiful thing to behold.

I really like your thoughtful reactions. You make us think, so don't apologize when you go "deep." It's good. For a variety of reasons, Christmas no longer holds much joy for me, and I get very tired hearing all the carols everywhere this time of year, but this is really beautiful. I still like to sing Deck The Halls, though. The words are so totally pagan. Of course, I still love hearing Angelina singing Mary's Boy Child, and just recently discovered a little gem from my favorite band, Queen, Thank God It's Christmas. Would you be willing to react to it? I think you would like it.

I'm not Christian and my holiday celebrations reflect that. There are songs for the season that when song well make that not matter. This is of them. There aren't many singers with the range to sing it in it's original key, but when they can it's amazing.

Michael (AKA Drama), I completely feel you on your closing remarks. I'm still not a fan of Xmas music or Xmas, but Home Free gives me/us something that I can appreciate and that's great. I'd love to sit and have a chat with you. Our backgrounds are clearly different, but our viewpoints are so similar. I mean watching you react to certain songs is fun, but hearing what you have to say, either about the song or what it sparks in you, is the main reason I'm here. 🤘🏼🤘🏼

You said something in this reaction that I've been saying for a long time, that I think many others haven't understood. For me, music has been so central to my life, that I've always felt that it's been my main purpose for living. It doesn't transcend my love for the Lord Jesus Christ...that's not what I mean. However, without music in my life, I don't think I'd have made it through some pretty hard places (both before and after I became a Christian). Until two years ago, for about 15 years, though I had sung all my life previously (it's all I ever wanted to do WITH my life), and I had also played several instruments since Jr. High age, I had become so bent over and crippled up in several ways by rheumatoid arthritis, that I no longer had a singing voice much, at all--literally just croaks and squeaks when I tried...bringing me to tears occasionally. I was bent so far forward because of my hips, that there was really no diaphragm strength at all. To me, the loss of my singing voice felt like a kind of death. I did NOT give up on life, but there was a dearth there, that I had never felt before--even before I became a Christian. One of the things I COULD still do, for some reason, was whistle, so that kept me going. I've always loved whistling, and still do. People have told me that I obviously was raised around a violinist, if I wasn't one myself, because that's what my whistling sounds like. They were right. I was...my mom...a SUPER violinist from the time she was five years old, until she could no longer play, at age 85. Thankfully, two years ago, I ended up having both hips replaced. My right one broke itself, finally, from the stress it had been under for many years. Three months later, the surgeon who did the emergent replacement of that hip, replaced the other one with the hardware he made sure to order ahead of time, because he knew from the X-rays that it was going to be necessary and he wanted for me not to have to go through another three days of screaming pain like I went through with the first one before they could do the surgery. Now I can walk again (not entirely upright, but nearly), and do things I hadn't been able to do for a long, long time--including having my own small raised-bed vegie garden for the past two summers. More importantly to my very being, however, is that I can sing again! Plus I can sit at a piano to play. My voice is still working on coming back, but it IS, and for that I'm so very, very thankful! Just being able to sing along with music I listen to is such a blessing to me, that I haven't been able to explain it to much of anyone. However, I think you understand, from what you said. It's just...me...inside...you know? Anyway...thank you for another great, thoughtful and well-presented reaction. HUGS!

This has long been an outstanding favorite by them. ❤🔥❤ I could see that you were touched by their angelic tones mixed with the lyrics from the song. 🥰 If the talent is extraordinary I don't feel it matters what your religion is or what your preconceptions or past trauma/experiences...the entire piece becomes something else entirely. 💯 You did not go too deep darlin, you spoke your truth in that moment and that candid and genuine take on things is one of the reasons I look forward to your reactions. 🥰

They do bring a lot of peace to people. :) There aren't too many artists that I've felt this kind of connection with. I know some of it is because they love music like I do, which makes them officially understand me better than almost anyone I've ever known ( including a lot of family ) , but I also think they're just a very welcoming group. Not a bunch of ego or agenda, just loving music and having fun, which definitely makes everything more bearable for me.

I have such a rough time at Christmas. My Mom was a Christmas fanatic, and it just seems so bleak without her. The music of Christmas is what keeps me going. I am a huge fan of Pentatonix, Home Free, Peter Hollens, Josh Groban, Jonathan Antoine, all of the blessedly talented artists who bring me to the truth -- the worship, joy, and reverence that the Season brings to me, each singer is like an ornament on a huge Christmas tree, each glittering and leading me. Music makes all the difference to me! Thanks for your wonderful reactions. Many blessings to you and your family.

Please do not stop being you for anybody or anything. I love to hear your thoughts after the videos. I agree with you on music being life as it stopped me from committing suicide during some very dark times. Music was the only thing that could get inside that dark fog that surrounded me so I was able to glimpse a sliver of light. I eventually saw the sun and was on the road back. Let your past remind you of where you were but don't let it determine where you can go. A great saying I try to live by now is don't be looking back so much that you can't see what is in front of you.

My brother, you made my heart and lips smile with your commentary. Christmas has been so hard for me after I lost my Mom at a very young age but bc of Christmas and what transpired 33 years after the birth of Jesus which made a way for us to spend eternity in Heaven if we choose to, makes all my trials seem so small. HF certainly knows how to bring Heaven to us through their phenomenal singing.

Drama, the four pillars are Love, Faith, Trust, and Hope. There is power in all of them but infinite power in Hope. Hope can open people to Love, Faith, and Trust when they're closed to it. Hope can let you take a chance and only by doing that, by taking chances with our hearts can we go beyond the pain, beyond the history that weighs down who we truly are. You inspire others with your sharing. You're infectious grin, the WTF looks, your expertise but mostly you just being you. I hope you find the Hope to give Christmas for what it truly is another try. To me Christmas is family and friends. Family isn't just those you had the accident of being born related to, Family isn't biology. Family is those you Love, have Faith in, Trust, and Hope for nothing but the best for and who truly feel that way about you. All the best.

Home Free has a way of soothing my soul, helping me heal enough to move on, when I had given up all hope. I've seen so many other people state that same fact over the years. This group stays true to the classic songs and religious songs, when some groups try to jazz it up with a bunch of vocal gymnastic's. In the end, you're not quite sure what you've just heard, because it sounds nothing like the original. I love your reactions. This is the one that got me started with Home Free........ although I'd heard this song so so many times before; and a beautiful song it is ----- but as with most, it'd become "ho-hum". Back when vids were auto-start on FB as ya scrolled past -- I'd decided to let it play; it didn't sound so bad. Well, as I scrolled - I started to notice....... it was a deeper voice singing higher ... and it was good!!! But when Time hit those higher notes so clean (and damn good) --- it made me notice and scroll back up, having to listen again. The research started and have been locked in ever since! :) ... And LIVE -- Even better. Home Free changes music my friend --- all and always for the better. They have this thing ... changing the feeling --- or creating a deeper feeling. Rare --- and Amazing!
