I don't know if you read the notes under the video but I think Adam's comments on his arrangement of Do You hear adds to the appreciation of this video and his arrangement: "On the surface, this arrangement of “Do You Hear What I Hear” sparks the imagination with different musical themes, and brings life to several different scenes or imagery about the birth of Christ. However, a deeper understanding of the song reveals a call for peace in a chaotic violent world under the simple truth preached by Christ: love. Originally written during the Cuban missile crisis, a parallel can be drawn to any time when the world needs a reminder to love not hate. The theme of competing voices is echoed in the execution of the 4 different vocal parts that come to clarity at the 4th verse and unify with the same message in 5 octaves: “Listen to what I say. Thanks so much for playing my request! O Holy Night is breathtaking as well. Even their light hearted ones are great. I love watching people react to them. I'd love for them to tell the Country Music Association to eat their shorts and how their fan base will only keep growing bc of their talent. They don't need radio play, record deals or awards to be big. They're already better than most and I mean like 99.9 percent of the "country" artists out there. They used to introduce them on the red carpet and let them sing a few lines. Now it's silence. Well, guess what CMAs? They've made it big doing things the way they want to do it when they want to do it and how they want to do it and they sound phenomenally doing it! Keep it up my Home Free boys. You're the best!

Thanks! The funny story they tell about this arrangement done by beat-boxer Adam is that he usually writes too difficult arrangements for them to do. lol. But this one they realized they could work with it and make it happen. And wow! It was super layered and they are all so talented in so many, many ways! A completely different one you might like to watch(!) and listen to is Blue Ain't Your Color (Keith Urban cover.) If you haven't done it yet, I think you'll really enjoy the complete different way they do that one! Shows the range of this awesome group. Thanks.

I love, love love you! Your smile when Tim hits those low notes, and then you proceed to back the video up and listen again, it cracks me up every time. I also saw you reach up and grab your ears a time or two, and I instinctively knew why. If you think he rattles your ears with those low notes, you should see them live. Your seat, your butt, and everything in the place vibrates like crazy. And when he hits those really low, low notes....you get this pressure in your chest that feels like someone just sat on you. LOL! Never have I ever had that happen with any entertainer before. Oh yeah, Adam is a total beast, too. He's won the title of beat boxer of the world, more than once. IMO- he's the best there is. and this is why Tim is being inducted into the Gulf Coast Music Hall of Fame on Friday :) Unreal range plus the ability to sing different styles. Without the other guys, I would have never guessed he's country on first listen. Yea, upon more listens I do still hear a little country cause that's primarily what they are, but a lot of this is classical technique, like you might find in light opera stuff ( Phantom of The Opera, Mame, The Music Man. ) not like all out Pavorotti or anything, though I am sure they could do that if they wanted to. They do a great job on Bring Him Home.

So this was my fault... I’ve heard this before and should have known. But for some unknown reason I had the volume turned to the max... I HAD an older pair of earphones that I, now, need to replace. I love this arrangement and the dynamics between the vocal sections was on point.

Tim played this for me in my car. There is a part where they come in on "Listen to what I say" where they cover 5 octaves. Another bass that you need to check out is Tim Storms. He sang with Acappella and Rescue. Also sang in Branson, MO. Lowest bass ever recorded. I believe he has the Guinness World record for lowest note (1.3) hertz) and largest range (10 Octaves). Paul David Kennimer is another - He sang with Valor. Look up Old Ship of Zion. You will not be upset that you did.

This was so good. The hand slapping made me think of the Sleigh Ride song and the snapping of the whip that the percussion players do.(I was in the school band as a youth and the Sleigh Ride song was so fun to play and listen too.
