His acknowledgement of songwriters & his individual musicians & backing vocalists, always ready & willing to share the stage & accolades. His love & appreciation of any audience show his kind heart. Steve Williams on Soprano Sax is amazing, reminiscent of Gulls crying as they fly overhead. Lindsay Field on miniature cymbals, never has such a small instrument resounded with such clarity. The BV's, perfection as always. An absolute joy. Much love from Australia 🇦🇺💕

John never, ever fails to introduce everyone on stage, every time. He says his band etc are family, and you feel the love they have for him too in interviews, on stage etc. He might love the stage, but he’s no prima donna. You’re the Voice came out just as I became a teenager, farnsey completely sank into my soul from the moment I heard it. And then my mum told me about all the other farnsey songs I already knew and loved, but didn’t know I did 😂😂😂😂😂

I heard an interview of John's [cannot recall which] where he said he chooses the songs he sings by his connection to the lyrics - and it shows with the way he emotes a song. I think that connection he has is what makes it special for his audience as well.

Seriously mate, where on earth do you start to talk about this performance? You already hit every nail on the head yourself. The lyrics, backing singers, the band and of course John himself. He mentioned the writer at the beginning, Mr Ross Wilson, who himself is a very well known singer in Australia. There is another clip available where John starts the song and Ross walks out for a surprise duet. I tear up every time I watch it. Cheers mate.
