It would be weird seeing police drive in anything other than expensive cars in Dubai but here in SA, it's pretty unnecessary expenditure. And it's been 5 years, by now I am sure that these cars have already paid for themselves in terms of the money they've collected in previously unpaid fines and warrant skippers. The police budget is tightening because some Tenderpreneur's wife wants the new Gucci or Louboutin or a useless airline needs a bailout once again! Yes, we could have spent the money for the Lexus on designer bags and bought the cops some repo UNO's on auction. A bit of fine tuning and those cars would fokkof on the highway.
