When our Wildlife Rescue Team finds a Steller sea lion suffering from a deadly plastic entanglement near treacherous rocks, we set out to save its life before time runs out.

It's a good thing that fur seals don't take this kind of time and resources to rescue for each individual considering that hundreds of them get entangled. OCN saves a dozen or more on some days.

Thank you for helping. I do have concern when you accuse ALL people of doing it illegal fishing etc. Some of this junk is in the oceans because of natural disasters, storms hurricanes etc. I agree humans usually cause all the suffering. You do good work

There is a team called ocean conservation Namibia they do such an amazing job. They look at seals that are on the beach and once they spot one that has something on them they run like hell with their big nets and they try and catch the seal b4 they get back into the water. This is not an easy job when there jump over seals and run away from them and there could be 300 seals on the move with snapping jaws as well. They do not drug any of the seals there are some nasty wounds from everything and anything that ends up in the sea that seals get on themselves, anything from ghost nets fishing lines and hooks. I just watch one where there were two seal pups together but unfortunately one was dead and the live one had been dragging about his dead friend around with it for at least 4 days. So very sad, I am a huge supporter of these guys please look them up on KZbin. Unfortunately, they just have to let them go and hope for the best even in some of the really bad cases as there is nowhere that has rehabilitation in that area, but once the horrible stuff has been removed they heal up fast and that salt water.

Ocean Conservation Namibia has rescued hundreds of seals with no drugs and minimal equipment. They could use a boost from conservationists here in the west. They are extremely hands on and love what they do.
