@@lonelypigeon7562 You are so correct in boycotting the store. It is obvious what is going on here. They want to only sell to people that they consider "regular customers" that they think "can truly appreciate" their special dish. I have experienced the same thing. The "special" is special for only their select clientele and when I pushed to purchase the food, because I could plainly see that they had the special item in the display case, they flat out told me that they only had enough food prepared for their special regular clients. I stopped going there and I told other people what had happened. Their special clients in the end could not keep their bakery in business and the bakery had to eventually close. Story time:This is terrible. Something similar happened to me at 9 years old. We went to store owned by minorities, they were Hispanic and we spent time searching for a dress for my 5th grade graduation. After some time, the store manager comes to me and accuses me of trying to steal and hiding something in my clothes and forced me to strip off my clothes. Mind you I was 9 years old and she created a scene and there weee men also staring at me. I started crying outta fear. I was petrified. My mom exchanged her words to the employees and hackles them that what they were doing was inhumane. Because of my skin and despite my age and stature, you have the gall to accuse a child. I will never forget that day. And no I didn’t strip nothing. My mom wasn’t having it especially after they threatened and attempted to call police. It was indeed traumatizing. Nevertheless, I can empathize to this character a great deal and really wish someone was there aside from my mom to stick up for us. Ppl really need God like are you mad?? A child?? My skin color???

The ultimate irony of this video is that the owner of the boutique "created [the] wedding salon to help every girl feel special in anticipation for the biggest day of their lives" and his own fiance was turned away FROM HIS STORE. That is great writing. What is amazing to me is that the way the store manager was played, he did not seem to grasp that was he did was unacceptable in today's society and it was like, "oh, well, we are fired for no good reason, we have to leave, next job." He continues to play the aloof fool of each video he is in. But there are people like that that never learn and do not get it. The two other actors portrayed sincere regret at what they had done. All around, great acting in this video. The bride actor really played her role well, and awoke all kinds of sympathy for her character and I really felt for her character. This was a great video and had the perfect ending as a comment on racism and the irony of life.

@@9bm-hb2hpii it's called DRAMA for a reason because to Dramatize anything is too inflate the situation. I like watching these little movies. They bring up crucial human elements where we ALL have shortcomings and could do better. I do live in a wealthy nation but am not a wealthy person at all. Everyday I go to a Christian Mission and eat w other poor folks. Did you ASSUME I have money? Did u assumed I am from a wealthy nation? I think U may have assumed I have never been ridiculed or looked down on. I have, many times. And I have probably done it too others in one way or another, intentional or not. There actually are, in real life, interviews that take place in social settings. The job seeker is not aware that he is being interviewed. Such as the boss takes the job seeker to a restaurant to see how they treat the waitstaff or the busboy. Or a waitress drops something on purpose, like a menu- the boss checks the reaction of the possible employee- to see if they are going to pick it up and alert the waitress she dropped it and hand it back to her. DRAMATIZE ME will always have an ending that works out. That is NOT real life. But it makes a point. I wonder if anyone watching recognizes they themselves are sometimes the cruel person. Not always the one 'being picked on'. 2 TRUE STORIES: Once upon a time a woman I knew who owned her own business needed a ride. She was struggling through an awful divorce and finances were very tight. I offered her a ride and she accepted. She closed her shop and we walked to my car. When she saw my beat up car she froze in her tracks... "Ummm...well... I'm use to luxury cars and I can't be seen in that. On second thought I'll just call a taxi". I have another friend who can't stand how I dress (I'm poor). She dresses up for EVERYTHING. She can't be seen in slobby clothes. I see her disapproving glances at my jeans and footwear. She'll mutter hurtful comments under her breath. Recently we went somewhere for my birthday. She had a fit about my shapeless clothing. (What she didn't notice was I had lost 50lbs. My Dr wanted me to lose 80lbs due to diabetes). Another friend treated me to lunch the next week. I stood up from the booth and she exclaimed "Oh my you've lost so much weight . Your clothes are loose but I can see where your silhouette dips in at your waist. Good job! " I have NO MONEY for a smaller wardrobe so I am stuck living in size 22 clothes. Looks as awful as being 220lbs. Somethings we just can't change. I opt for being healthier.

This scenario is so stupid. I'm a black person and if I was treated that way in a white owned store, I would just leave and take my money where I'm given a non-racial service
@LadydogC2 жыл бұрын
Not stupid, true you and most would go elsewhere, only it is her fiances store so why would she? Not only would they not give her great services but treated her very badly. Also the film shows how they try to brown nose and act like it was only her and maybe not all dark skin people. Also that IF they had known she was his soon to be, they would have treated her differently. Also not right to treat someone differently due to status. I am old now, I am so called white, but I also do not allow others to treat me differently or even speak to me in a poor tone. One thing here. I do not know about others but for me, yes, I am old and I am sometimes sad about that and it bothers me that some say oh, your such a sweet old lady or put MISS in front of my name. Other things as well. Please do not remind me I am old is what I want to say to them. Anyway, hope you see the good in this film and how just maybe someone will check themselves and do better.

@@LadydogC I'm black but some people call me brown skin due to my great grandfather being white. I'm from the Caribbean and in my country we have racism also, but I don't bow to people at all. One day I went by some of my white relatives and they treated me with disdain and I had not appreciated it. Because, when the old folks were alive I was welcome at their home as custom but at they deaths I was no longer wanted by the children because of my complexion. And you know what! I never suck up to them and they are my family so why bow to those who are not. It is very simple, if those are the employees he has working for him and that is the way they are behaving. I'll just leave and take it up with him and let him deal with the situation.
