@@TheSoundTestRoom Does Steel Guitar Pro record into Drambo? If I strum the “strings” no midi data sends? Using the pads or onboard keyboard works .

Super thanks for the great tutorial Doug from a fellow Scouser 🎉 just copped Drambo and looking forward to getting stuck in. Just waiting on my Apple camera kit so I can hook up my OP-Z and have some fun. Thinking I'll add a midi controller too for something a little more tactile😊

Great video Doig! This tutorial is perfect for me. I have drambo for a while but never got really far with it. It can get overwhelming and co fusing. So this clears up a whole lot of basics to get going. Great stuff, thank you! 👍👍

I thought that was a really awesome presentation to someone like me who has previously been confused as hell about this whole Ableton-like type of DAW. I downloaded the app and worked through every step in your video, although I did need to use the built in instruments instead of the single AUM drum kit you used. Even better, or I might have decided each track meant one instrument like in a standard DAW, and so it forced me to reckon with the idea of single clips into which multiple tracks can go. Now I can't wait to play around some more. I wonder if I can use this app to get some more acoustic sounding compositions? I remember ages ago downloading your sax and violin instruments for the ipad, I guess if there is something like this in AUM that would be the way to go?

20$ compared to the price of an iPad and considering all that you can do with it is truly not much. More than ten times less than the equivalent on a regular computer (not to say twenty times less)…

This has become much more interesting since the first time I looked at it. One question, though: how flexible is Drambo when it comes to using instruments outside of Drambo? I know it can be used with AUv3s in AUM, but what about within Drambo, itself? In other words, can I insert instruments, sounds, loops, etc. from other sources, apps, etc? Also, how versatile is Drambo for use in Cubasis?
@TheSoundTestRoom
@TheSoundTestRoom 2 жыл бұрын
You can use an AUv3 instrument or effect inside Drambo, just like any other DAW, Drambo itself is also an AUv3, so you can use it inside of Cubasis, or anything that supports AUv3. Drambo also supports Multi-Out channel from itself. It is incredibly powerful.
@GaryR55
@GaryR55 2 жыл бұрын
@@TheSoundTestRoom So, best to use AUv3s with it, but can it support IAA, as well? I noted that BeepStreet also makes Sunrizer and iSequence, both "ancient" IAAs. Odd thing is, their own KZbin channel is devoid of anything about Drambo. It's devoted mostly to iSequence and Sunrizer and looks like it hasn't been updated since those two apps were released.
@TheSoundTestRoom
@TheSoundTestRoom 2 жыл бұрын
You can’t use IAA in Drambo. iSequence is a standalone DAW type thing. Sunrizer has been an AUv3 for years now. He also makes Zeeon Synth, which is also an AUv3. It’s really up to you what you use inside Drambo, you can easily build you own modular synths and effects, or use one of the many presets that use use the internal modules, or use AUv3s or just mix and match as you wish.

How about importing samples and loops? I like the way Drambo works, but I don't want to be confined to using only Drambo sounds and instruments.

It comes with its owns instruments, you can also use your AUv3 instruments and effects. Bit there are two IAPs, but you don’t need to buy them to use Drambo

When I make a drum pattern within the AUV3 drum (LE03), I can have polyphonic two or more sounds at the same time (hihat +BD etc), the same instrument in Drambo doesn’t allow polyphony. I wonder what option I have to press to allow polyphony on Drambo pattern? Thanks!! PS to answer my own question, I find that when I press a step and press several pads simultaneously, it turns into “chord”, this is how several drum sounds can play in the same step manually when not roll recording. I don’t know of there is another way, have to check if there is a piano roll 😀

Change voices from 1 up to 16 to play sounds at the same time, when you load a new rack instrument to defaults to 1 Voice on the midi module.

I’m looking forward to watching your take, Doug. This is such an amazing update for Drambo - it’s maybe my favourite app on iOS along with Loopy Pro, and such a game changer in the groovebox game! Great to see so much Drambo content go up on KZbin over the past few days. I’m currently making some tutorials of my own, too: kzbin.info/aero/PLI9UCYID2G_vAzdp5SkqMJ8TIzBPx9jIg
