Dear trainee teacher... Learn to focus on one thing at a time, the first thing I would recommend is set your classroom rule/expectations and work on them every lesson. Second thing is know that you will get better throughout your journey as a trainee teacher and you make alot of progress by the end so be kind to yourself if things don't go as you have planned, observe expert teacher and only take what you need, we are all different so no two teachers teach the same and lastly enjoy you will learn so much about yourself.

Amazing! Thank you! I would love to see/hear more about (a) How can one manage discipline in the classroom; (b) How can one promote critical thinking in the classroom.

I love this video! Wish I saw your video in my PGCE/NQT year! I love how you broke everything down. Please make more videos on teaching. VIDEO IDEAS I know many of us will love to watch 1. How you plan your typical teaching day/week/year effectively: When do you plan; start of the day or year? when do you eat? *for Muslim* when do you pray? when do you mark? when do you do CPD or subject or pedogogical development and how often? How do you find time to do any required reading eg Keeping Children safe in eduction or new department and school initiatives etc? 2. Resources (apps, note taking /organisation styles, websites) 3. Plan with me video where you show us how you can create a lesson on Power Point etc 4. Behavior Management 5. Creating positive relationships as a new member of staff. Especially if you don't go to pubs or staff socials often. *Everyone Hit like Button if you'd like her to do this or comment some ideas below *

Hi, I have watched your video about "How To Read A Paper Quickly & Effectively". Now I can read articles effectively but what I struggled with is how to take notes from the article, and how to integrate and organize those essay notes and use those notes to write the essay. Can you make a video? Thank you so much.

Your opinion on teaching a subject you don't have a degree in?
@DrAminaYonis3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t recommend doing that personally
@4c_Hijabi3 жыл бұрын
It also depends if your degree is transferable. For example I know teachers with Law degrees who teach English. Or teachers with physics or Engineering degrees who teach Maths. You will have to study and brush up on your knowledge and maybe the school will require you to do a subject knowledge course. So it's possible. But let's say you have a degree in English, I would not recommend teaching maths

I became a TA in the subject for a year before I applied for my PGCE. It’s great experience and you’re improving your subject knowledge everyday. I also did an SKE before my PGCE
