Thank You! This is the only time I've seen this being explained... draping and constructing a dress on a manikin! Normally I'll see a quick video of fabric being pinned to a manikin, then the video ends. At least the videos I find, there isn't any further instructions on what to do. that's a method that I would love!! I want to recreate a dress I saw and this will be the way to do it. Also I find it hard to find dress patterns that don't have a horizontal waist seam, I prefer the long seams from the top of the bodice to the bottom of the skirt and they are fitted. I find the horizontal waist seam can make a person look shorter. I love a straight long skirt with a mid thigh slit right up the side seam

You can wrap it in batting and then muslin to cover the gaps.
