For the raised train line, I think it should run down the same road as the ground line, and you can have them running in opposite directions, like Northbound and Southbound train. Depending on which way ppl need to go, they can go to the upstairs or downstairs stations

One suggestion: You could also use the pillar of the room to make some sort of skyscraper, so that it blends with the city ;) Think about it, and keep up the great work! ;)

That is an absolutely incredible idea!! I was thinking that the skyscrapers should all converge around that pillar anyways … so it would be less of an eyesore. Having the pillar actually be one of a cluster of skyscrapers is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!! 👏😁

This could be a great opportunity to get Studgate somewhere more central - maybe putting in a smaller station for the amusement park. It's such a beautiful set, it deserves to be less tucked away.

You should consider a pedestrian area in the city centre, so it changes things up and you can avoid another road lane, having way more place for custom details and modular buildings in general!😁

For the new brown skyscraper with the arched windows, would you consider adding a covered awning over the entrance? Something about the door just looks unfinished and in most cities a building like this would have an arched awning coming out into the sidewalk. I think it would really help it look alive.

To add more green space, you could get rid of the road that curves around the table opening by the camp ground. Just imagine as if that road was going through where the table opening is (in reality it would stop and start again). This would give you all the road spots to add more green space.

It was awesome to see the "crowded no road city" on your work tables. That's just so cool! I only have 2 MILS plates, a large grey with the 2x Blacksmith and a 2x2 standard with my Forest Guardian Ideas Treehouse with tree forts and a market around the base of the big tree in the middle, which sits upon a baseplate sized plate from Bricks n Minifigs which anchors the center of the 2x2 MILS.

Hey there, I used to play "SimCity" back when it was on the Super Nintendo & used a street grid on it. I would almost instantly rise to 500,000 (Which is when you get the "Mario Statue"). I looked at LEGO cities and thought "What if I do the same?" First: You have to decide "How many base plates wide should my blocks be?" AND STICK TO IT, no matter what (Based on streets of course). Two: I figure the smallest would be 2 baseplates by 2 baseplates, due to assembly square being 1 1/2. Three: So I drew a grid, and it seems to work with my current modulars, but requires A LOT of streets! Ok, what about 3x3 or 4x4? Have you tried this? I'd love to see someone try this, though I'm sure you don't want to start all over again after fixing yours. Maybe I'll try with my "Small apt City" someday? HINT: Start with the street layout first...

Combine the bowling alley and the diner. Might need a length of 2.5 baseplates. But it would let you add in a floor, while removing the conflict the two building have with each other, by having similar styles. Do you think you can use parts of that Disco set, in this extra floor space? Bicycle lanes should belong on both sides of the street, Bricksie. And with the placement of the Quickie-Mart, you just lost a fun option, the Corner Garage, it even has the right shape, for that raised train track corner section. Will the Theme Park be relocated, by change? Would let you put the skyscrapers in the background and let you get the old Eifel Tower effect, again. With your just removed setup, you began to not notice the castle setup. O boy, am I suggesting even more work, to you, Bricksie? As for parting out, how about adding in? Some schools have a gym as part of their building structure, either internal or external. Upgrade your highschool and add a extra floor, it's to small, anyway. Three floors of class locals and a gym building, with a school library/teacher-room above it. That's what I think you should do, there, Bricksie, make it stand out more. Then put it on the boarder between the low rise & medium rise (modulars)
@Benji568

You never know what Lego is going to release in the future when it comes to modular buildings or houses so it's good to change things up once in a while. Plus with the rumours of a new Avengers Tower or the X-Mansion from the upcoming X-Men '97 show, Pop Cuture Street may need expanding. Still waiting for Lego to release a Wayne Manor or GCPD set. A new Arkham Asylum would be great as well.

I don't have mile s plate moduler an new roads set up in my my city. I got the old roads and. What I have dun. Is just sit each moduler on-top of stud base plate and so if I need to move. My moduler s I can just. Pic them up and move them to. No diffrent to you. But. Less you's of. Brick s need of plate. To do mile s plate .I rather not waste the Mony just to build mile s plate. But. Great I can move each moduler just as quick. You can just. Build up the land scape around each moduler. And with the. Old road plate have a wider walk way so can even half.that so. More space for the moduler s to fit in. 😊 carnt wait to cee what. You do with ree placing the roads an moduler s. Have. Fun with. It. As we say ..or it's not werth it. If not haveing fun. Doing it. ..and not love it. 😊 👍👍💥👌

Reconfiguration looks great so far! Instead of moving the raised train line, why not build an elevated station so that the minifigs living in the new residential area can commute to work in the commercial/skyscraper zones? Isn't that what the elevated line is for in the first place? Commuters! Make it work for them! The minifigs will thank you for making it easy to get to work whilst avoiding the overcrowded, gridlocked streets... Keep going! Love the new look so far.
