For 98% of gamers the change to a charge instead of a token was a nerf. Most people used the token to save themselves heroic crests, that's gone now.

Alts for me will personally feel horrible, I already have bad luck, I always get 2k rating without having the majority of pieces to hero, or any for that matter, my alts don't get raid, so I am forced to GRIND ON AN ALT for a piece that they were giving before...

A note on the shuddering hollow boss. The issue is that the boss charges out of the bonus quest circle if people bait the charge out of it. If you look on your mini map when the event starts, in the cave there is the bonus quest circle. If he leaves that area, it despawns the bonus quest, and you don’t get the gem from it. The gem does not come from the boss, but specifically the bonus quest.

only problem is the circle is where you are when the tunnel opens. and after it opens the quest just despawns. I tested this by pulling the boss myself and standing still. and it still just despawned off my quest log. I think it's actually the elevation change. going underground. that bugs it. I got the gem once. by tagging him and standing on the mound by the door outside and waiting. Everyone that ran in, didn't get the gem.

The bug with the isle boss removing its bonus reward has to do with the charge the boss does. This has been a weird thing that’s always existed with world quests, sometimes you’d step across the quest boundary and you wouldn’t get credit. The easiest way to get the gems to drop is to kill the boss with as few people as possible and everyone stacks up against the wall so he can’t charge. As long as nobody in your encounter moves away from the stack, the reward shouldn’t go away. Check your map during the fight to make sure the icon doesn’t vanish and reset the boss by running out if it does. You can also pet pull the boss through the wall during the 2.5 minute RP phase and kill him before the explosives go off.

I’m struggling to understand the hatred so please enlighten me. You get catalyst charge so anything can turn into set right? Which means being lucky in the vault you’ll be able to turn a myth track whatever legs,hands bla bla into a tier piece. How is that worse than being guaranteed a heroic track set item? I feel guaranteed myth track set item is better?

Alot of the Tier sets IMO look nice but im kinda surprised that they aren't more thematic to the goblin raid - like you would have expected alot of SteamPunk / Engineering vibes and instead these could legit be like Shadowlands Teir sets or something.

The token "Gives you a piece of gear". The catalyst charge "Does not give you a piece of gear". This is a bs change to do less work and force players to need to obtain the piece of gear they need for the slot they would fill by having to do even more work.

I took it as it being a nerf to tank and healers because they are usually the last to gear out, as you’d rather gear the DPS to push kill times/phases. Hence, in Mythic Raids being given the Myth track pieces that drop to be converted to tier. I could be misreading his implication but this was my logic.

a workaround for the shuddering hollow bug i found, if he doesn't get to charge towards the entrance, it seems to always drop the gem. So if a tank could get in fast, and pull him to the back of the cavern, it seems to work best, and hopefully he doesn't charge all the way to the front of the cavern during the fight.

My guild clears heroic week 3-4 usually. Nerubar was week 5 😅, but the omni token has definitely come in clutch for some people.

With the shattering hollow event, it seems to be if the boss leaves the event area with either being pulled out or from the charge. If you can get everyone to run in asap to avoid the charge and try for everyone to not be trolls and taunt it out on you, it should work as intended

Speaking on things you know nothing about... The event entirely bugs not the boss. It has nothing to do with charges or the boss but the event itself.

I don't think it has anything to do with the boss or the cave at all. I tried it on an empty shard, and it only took a few seconds after the event activating for it to just disappear without even entering the cave or pulling the boss.

yeah its just bugged, ive tried to pull him in, out, up, down. It doesn't matter. like the last person said after the event starts it takes seconds to just go away on its own. But this has also been happening the whole patch (TWW) with world quests that have specifically small zones. Like if you try to do the bee world quest, it'll go away and come back 3 or 4 times just while completing it. And it's only like 10 kills.

The way i have managed to get the event to work was by reseting the boss over and over again till the next shuddering hollow event starts and pulling it with a pet through the blockade. Then u just kill it when he gets past through the rocks

Delve change is NOT high end player focused, so no. Blizzard simply want to make sure that Endgame Players and Casuals are not EXACTLY on the same level. since we can now get within 3 ilvl of them, they are taking Tier away from us, unless we get lucky on our Vault drops.
