Quelle cinématographie! J’en ai vu, des documentaires himalayens, comme c’est pas possible, mais jamais ai-je autant ressenti, bien sûr par procuration, toutes les étapes d’une expédition d’envergure. On y est avec vous et la proximité focale est ahurissante. Chapeau bien bas pour cette double réussite: le Manaslu sans O2, certes, mais aussi cette extraordinaire virtualité! Mille mercis!

I don’t know if you can translate English to French the same way we can do F-E? Most probable though. I was going to comment almost the exact same thing you wrote. It’s astonishing the videos we can watch from home isn’t it. I’ve climbed all 14x 8 thousanders, K2 maybe a dozen times. Such a beautiful place. I wish we didn’t pollute the mountains and use the Sherpas for little pay for the huge risks they take though. If we westerners want to climb these mountains it should be down to them to do the work too. Just a day ago another three Sherpas have been killed on Everest fixing ropes for us. Just so the western climbers can get a summit pic to show off to their friends. It’s just wrong. A western guide gets paid on average TEN times more than a Sherpa for mountain guiding work. Same goes for western Himalayan guides. We shouldn’t treat these wonderful sherpas like this. They need the work and westerners need them to do the work they can’t be bothered doing. Or are too scared to do because it’s so dangerous?

Bonjour ça fait rêver ces endroits. Je me demande comment ce passe la logistique des tentes camp 2 3 4 ? Vous les camper, decamper porter à chaque fois ?

Nous avons monté 2 tentes en faisant 2 allez/retour entre les camps, ce qui nous a permis d'en avoir une au camp 2 et une au camp 3. En partant du camp de base pour le sommet, nous sommes monté avec une 3e tente pour le camp 4. Et enfin on récupère tout à la descente.
