Beste Interpretation ever.

I agree. I've heard other well-known singers sing this song, but nobody comes close to Hallstein's sublime perfection.

Stunning! She never ceases to amaze me. Her sound is so delicate yet precise/solid that it really feels like a wind instrument at times. Maybe the delicate registers of a pipe organ, because she attacks the notes as if on a keyboard. It's marvelous. Amazing diction too, very articulated. She sounds just like an "enchanted morning bird" so to speak! Lol! It's incredible! 👏😁❤

Only Arleen Auger and Lily Pons come close to this level of ease but I don't think anyone can directly compare. This is just above and beyond everything ever. Perfection.

I never heard Arleen Auger sing complicated ornamentations like Prof. Ingeborg Hallstein.

Elisabeth Heptner Sheer delight! Miss Hallstein"s physical beauty is wedded to great feminine charm which expresses itself in the loveliness of her gestures and a voice that soars to the stars with grace and ease. What a heavenly gift to all of us who enjoy music!

Totally agree! Very well put! Her performance in this movie was simply magnificent. Even her speech sounded marvelous like music.

Remarkable that you mention her lovely gestures. They give us a glimpse of a long bygone time where feminine character of both decisiveness and elegance is reflected in mimics and gestures in an unapologetic way. Blended with a magnificent voice this gives us a harmonious representation that as a whole can only be named art.

Thank you for sharing this. It's an echo of spring blooming on a drab autumn day.
