27:20 I can explain why - Bel'Veth and her infinite scaling, she gets extra attack speed stacks from void monsters, but she also gets her 3 minute true form that spawns all her own children, so by taking grubs without her getting even one, she misses out on getting her own children to spawn.

As an English speaker, I've never heard someone say "How do" in anything other than a joking manner, but as someone from the southern USA, I often hear "Howdy" which means the same thing. By the way, it's very interesting hearing what you have to say about the English language!

Howdy literally comes from "How do you do", but short-hand. So surely you've heard "How do" (or seen it books or in movies). If you've seen "The Mask" with Jim Carrey, you'll know the line. Also, toting yourself an English speaker says nothing about your true understanding on the language. That's like saying I'm fluent in Spanish but I knowing virtually 0 about the origins of the language or any idioms that existed before I learned the language. Languages are constantly evolving... Just look at the English language over the last decade. So many new words thanks to the Internet.

"How do people" could also be "How do people..." as an incomplete thought, with something like "How do people get so mad at a video game?" as the fully formed sentence. Leaving the thought incomplete can imply exasperation or stupefaction, as if the idea was so inane or upset you so much that you couldn't fully voice it. All of this fully depends on the context though.

I love the videos but i cant help but feel i just watched 29 minutes of yorick missing e. On a separate note, A game that i have been playing recently, Deadlock, has a "extra competitive mode" you can opt into. Having a mode like this in league where you are unable to concede might help alleviate this forfeit mentality that has been boiling up recently.

First of all, Happy New Year, Mr. Pokerick! I just wanted to say that you suffered more than necessary in the lane phase for 2 reasons: 1 - You didn't use the second wind rune 2 - You didn't buy Doran's shield And yes, in most matches, you would be right with the build you did in the video, but in those matchups where you get poked a lot, it's hard for your Q's healing to be enough along with Doran's blade. Another thing I can say is that, from time to time, it's interesting to disable the Quick cast option for certain abilities, especially those that your character needs to hit in order to combo, like Thresh's Q, Blitzcrank's Q, Morgana's Q or Lux's Q. It's like renewing your own brain about how far an ability can be cast instead of how we're used to using it. For Yorick, this is obviously interesting for his E ability, which in this match you messed up so much that it was a little painful to watch. Sorry for saying that.

For the point about surrendering, professional teams are actually not allowed to surrender, I mean imagine you pay good money to watch a match but they surrender mid way through. But when it comes to soloq I disagree, I think you should be able to surrender (I say this as someone who pretty much never surrenders since pretty much every game is winnable), all because some players will actively make sure you won't win the game (imagine the jungler just starts afking before elder and baron for example), and they don't get punished for it.

But if you wanted to surrender, you shouldn't have played ranked. I agree with his point about surrendering because it allows people to have a couple shit games and then just wave the "ff 15" flag in every game after that as an excuse for their bad plays. And in place of forfeiting, you could just stop playing and let them actually take your nexus. Too many times you see "open mid" and then the enemy keeps defending. You can't call open mid and then defend. That's hypocrisy. And to possible counter arguments - Winning 4v5 is possible with certain champions (like Yorick) who can easily move multiple lanes. I've won 2 in my life (4v5 from before remake was allowed). 3v5 is impossible. Also, if surrendering is so important, why is the time before team can surrender set to 15 minutes? They should only allow surrendering if your team has less than 4 people available to play. Or some combination of "your team would definitely have a disadvantage against theirs (like if you were 2v4, or 3v5, etc). Surrendering is so abusable, especially because it only needs 4 votes. So as soon as someone loses heart, it's more than likely others will quickly follow. It's like calling retreat in battle and half your line breaks before you've even had a chance to figure out why you should be running. It's stupid.

There's also this thing called a report function. It does work. You should use it. If someone is willing to afk occasionally, Riot Games can see that. How else does their system auto-report people who are afk for more than 3 minutes? And if someone is helping the enemy team? There's a report option for that as well. The true right decision would be not to play when it doesn't suit you. If you're joining a ranked game, you knew why you joined. Like in Rocket League, I'd often have people in my 2s games who would literally give up after 1 goal was scored on us and then would spin on their hood or help the enemy team or any other number of really annoying bits of gameplay. There's a surrender button, but the only reason people can act that way is BECAUSE there's a surrender button. Do you really think they think it worth their time to lose potentially 30 minutes of their time? Some crazies would say yes. But mostly sane people would say that's a big ask. Especially for those who only have enough time for 1 or 2 30 minutes games.

Blaming every other player and saying every other player is giving up while being the one who is giving up. I also fully agree with the no surrender in ranked, that would filter a lot of people who shouldn't be playing ranked & make people take the game more seriously.

tbh id rather have draven on my team than that janna. she is the reason league community is a mess. @pokerick ive taught a lot of player the game, also did some sort of coaching for a bunch of them. i often ran into ppl who were hardstuck in their elo and didnt know the reason. a very big part of them had an astronomous high surrender rate. between 20% and 40%, which is nuts for someone who claims playing for win only.

I dont agree withyour professional team comparsion. Theres a big difference between a team of organised players with a coach, and five randoms thrown together. Unfortunately this game is plagued by griefers and inters, and you should be able to get out of games with people intentionally ruining it.
