I still can't get over Shara's design. It's definitely my favourite, aesthetically. It's terrifying, but you can see traces of it evolving as an underground creature in its complexion and tendency to keep its eyelids shut. And those eyes, man those eyes...

Headcanon: Shara's neurons are distributed all over it's body like an octopus, allowing for extremely precise movement. AND OH GOD THOSE EYES. The eyelids are obviously used to keep sand out, which can indeed close since Shara's eyes do peek out underneath the rock armor, until it reaches Phase 2. and the rocks have not been kind on it. The scars aka. orange parts are unsettling yet make it appear way more divine/intimidating, like markings or tattoos.

Some of First Wyverian dialogue seems to imply that it tends to only awaken briefly, move, then return to dormancy. The level of activity in the Everstream due to Zorah and Xeno probably awoke and aggravated it, so it entered a period of extended activity that caused the widespread geographical and ecological shifts that we see in Iceborne. It's entirely possible that it's been asleep since the Tracker's master determined its existence (and was probably indirectly killed by it) more than 40 years prior to the game.

It's second phase theme goes between the quieter chimes heard at camp and a terrifying burst of energy. It's almost like it's representing the psychological and the physical toll, leaving a seed a fear that gradually blossoms throughout the battle. 8:39 i always felt annoyed when i looked at sharas face, and i could never fix in on what the reason was, but i think this picture shows why, its too humanlike, bonewhite surface, raging eyes and teeth that dont look too different from a humans. As if someone had removed the facade of man to reveal the madness hiding underneath

There is also the fact that it’s eyes follow the camera, not the hunter. It’s staring *you* down as it fights.

I wish Arch tempered would instead of giving more health and attack but instead focus on like having new moves that cover their weakness like making shara a bit faster and he makes like a wind wall with his wings that do a sweep or like summon a piece of his armor back that does melee attacks

ATs are already sort of like that. Also, faster Shara is an actual death wish.

By far my favourite fight. Sure, a player would say it's too easy while wearing OP Meta gear. But going in with Jagras-medley stuff or whatever you have at that point, makes it a hell of a fight. The only other monster that gave me such a hard time the first time was Fatalis. Top tier fight on a top tier game.
@GeorgeCowsert4 ай бұрын
Fun fact: you can see scarring on Shara Ishvalda's forehead, suggesting they had a third eye; a symbol of vision beyond the mortal realm. This pairs well with how Shara stares at the camera and not the player avatar.
@SirNaraxАй бұрын
It is an optical illusion caused by the shape of the eye and is as likely unintentional as it is intentional. People are good at drawing meaning from the meaningless. I lean more on accidental. The MH team puts a lot of effort into making their animals pretty grounded even if they are not realistic. Doesn't really match up with them deciding to give a random animal godlike-comicbookesc super powers like omniscience enough to see past the fourth wall. All it is in reality is a pupil sunk into the eye more.
