I prefer AIWB for quite a few reasons, but I actually carry a relatively small gun (P365XL). It's been a really nice solution for me, but I always recommend people do their research before choosing to carry appendix or strong side. Only type of carry I will argue against is small of back.

I'm not sure what year people got the great idea of jamming a loaded firearm into their pants but I'm sure it was some tactard in the 90s. We never considered it but as far as cover garments go. Just tuck your t-shirt in your pants so it doesn't rub on your skin. Just buy lightweight cotton shirts 1 size larger than you usually wear (if you need it.) Plaid, Hawaiian dark colors will help with printing.

Thx mic. The holster,owb all the way. I use them a lot,but have multiple different holsters for guns. That’s a must. You know the deal. The leather hooded jacket. Could you say where you got that again please. I ve tried them all, but a biker jacket I bought 3 decades ago in unbeatable in nearly all situations. That style would be a nice one to have. The Some of synthetic ones sound weird and most make you clammy feeling. Was noticing the owb on your p365xl. That is what im needing. Asked. You nay have answered. Runner. One last thing,im doing nearly the same thing you do with gear. Definitely not chasing anymore gear.have everything in the same spot every day and it is simple. Reach for the wallet at the store,nothing is in the way,not flashing my stuff at every body around me. Did recently wet form a little leather pocket thing that holds a pen,small stream light ,smaller pocket knife (that’s actually legal blade length by a “scoch “.under 3” but same model.Just called the mini.the other one was a 1/2 too big technically…so,good to gonow.)skoch,scoch sp?something like that…i thinks the word you use.and dup drivers license ,ccw,hunt /fish ,insurance,registration,proof of insurance,debit & a 50spot .all spares.stay in there just in case .have the driving stuff in triplicate. I figured having the 3 you get asked for, IF you are stopped ,above the visor in the truck & 10-2ing hands/not moving around ,can’t hurt. Make every body a little more comfortable .not out late much but the cpl times I’ve used it,trooper seemed to appreciate it. Boom bing bang out of there. Not being a dick..have a chair under my tail,gonna get my arce off it & & use it to pump 10-15 pushups out r now before getting back to it. Thx again for your time,sharing ect. Last last thing .heard a dude described heaven as being your favorite place on earth but better,if it’s a particular stretch of beach with your favorite dog from when you were 5 ,that’s what itll be,start thinking about your favorite uncle in the mountains,look over your shoulder and its right there ect. That’s what I m going with. Just stuck with me ..borrow it if you like. Enjoy the day/weather!

I'm sorry if I missed it, but what holster are you using? If it's for a Glock 48, I'm sure they make one for the Glock 45 (which is pretty much a G17 with the smaller slide). Again, sorry if i missed it. Good info too, you're always straight forward. Also, i know this may sound like an obvious answer to this question, and I'm sure it may vary state to state, but if you're carrying owb and just have an unbuttoned shirt or unzipped jacket covering it, that's still considered by most as concealed carrying, correct?

Mickey, please run some drills with the same OWB strong side, but with a buttoned up shirt and also with a zipped up jacket. I think this will be the reality for those of us that live in a non-open carry state. It would be very hard to ccw with a open shirt or jacket, no matter iwb or owb. Thank u!
@CarryTrainer3 ай бұрын
The thing is, you gotta go train it, not watch me. What's your daily carry set up look like? Clothing, belt and all.
@tonyf56423 ай бұрын
Totally agree. The unfortunate reality is, I don't have anywhere to train from a holster with live rounds. I do train with dry fire. I plan to use a 945 carry bag the majority of the time, flexible for any weather, comfortable while sitting/ driving and can be worn external over whatever clothing you have on. For me, it's faster than trying to move a lot of clothes out of the way.

Sorry to ask a question you’ve probably answered a thousand times but do you use aftermarket mags in your 48? Like the shield arms mags for instance? Thanks
@CarryTrainer6 ай бұрын
I have tried many makers. The Glock 10 round mags are what you'd expect, very reliable. I have all the generations of the Shield Arm mags. I have had mixed luck. The bad ones get tossed into training bucket, never to be carried. As with any carry gun, I find a few mags that work as close to perfect as can be and I mark them to designate carry use instead of beating them up training.
