We have a very similar story! I wanted to be a vet so went to college to do animal management and volunteered in a groomers and a vets, I’m now training as a dog groomer at an amazing salon!

EmilyMae Instone That is really similar! Congrats on finding something you love! I think working with animals is the best thing, if I wasn’t a groomer I think I’d have been a vet nurse. Can’t keep us away haha!

I am so excited on your start of your KZbin channel! I am also going through my financial struggle, I left a domestic violence relationship with my 3 year old daughter and pregnant. I just overcame homelessness but am struggling with the stress that comes with the jobs i took. If you could please do a video on how you were as a solo empowering female able to get your tub installed and what systems you recommend for your business to run smooth I would highly appreciate it! I am so touched! First of all, I am so proud of you for taking that terrifying step away from your violent relationship not only for yourself but for your little daughter! My mum was a single mum for a time as well and I remember how hard it was for her, but her fighting spirit rubbed off on me and I’m sure yours will inspire your daughter too! I can absolutely do that for you! I’m editing a video on grooming seminars I went to this past weekend, but I will make the next one a video on how to start your grooming business as a solo woman and hopefully it will give you a launchpad to achieve your dream from! I'm looking into a complete career change! Currently I work in an office job, just to pay the Bill's, but like you I've always wanted to work with animals. I've found a grooming school which I'm saving for and I can't wait to get the ball rolling. The only thing that worries me is what happens after? It's my dream to have my own salon, but I know I can't have that yet as I don't have the funds. I think it would be great to start in a salon for extra experience but its building my own client base and saving that I would want to focus on xx

Congrats! I hope you love grooming, it can be such a rewarding job! I'd recommend trying to find a salon you can work in for a time after your course to get some experience up! Good, hardworking employees are so valuable, even if only for a year or two. You can learn so much and then do grooming on the side. Just be open and honest with your boss and don't steal their clients, it's easy to find your own! Then you can build up slowly to the point where its 'safe' to go out entirely on your own. Victoria, Australia! The minimum working age is (was? Might have changed) 14 years and 9 months. Unsure why it’s so oddly specific hahaha. Thankyou! It was difficult to maintain a social life but I really adored the work and it was exciting to go to work and learn more and more! If you find something you’re passionate about, then working hard comes naturally, I think. Because you want to learn more 😍
