I agree...love the relaxed vice of his vids. Im an artist too...just enjoy drawing and throw rules out the window. Remember that every artist "copies" until they have the know how to branch off and create their own styles or ideas. Don't be afraid to take ideas from other artists...but also take inspiration from nature as God is the best artist. Look at the lines and shapes of plants and animals and you will soon know all you need to know about drawing. Art is everywhere and you are allowed to copy. People who tell you otherwise are wrong and don't understand that every artist on earth "takes inspiration...and copies...until they learn...then later they combine everything theyve learnt through copying and hey presto you have your own original style". Well....thats what I did at least.....I still copy. I don't care...I'm a copycat by nature I always have been but its fine cos after years of "taking inspuration" I've come across my own style....but I'll never put it on youtube cos I dont want people copying it hahaha. The irony

I really enjoyed the monteverde Gel you accidentally (maybe?) included in my pens return package. Kaco gel are also good for the price. But the monteverde ceramic are a definite winner if you're looking for a better insert. I prefer the extra fine. Very soothing just hearing the paper crinkle in this video. Loved the drawing as well. Glad you got a Saga for yourself!

This is fascinating! I thought for a short while we were going to see some cloth floaties, barely moving in a gentle breeze, because the clouds weren't moving, so a lot of moving floaties would have been odd, but then they turned into solid things and it was still very cool. But it did make me realize that Peter is not into floaties, which is fine. I sometimes feel like Peter is drawing metal crystals in a matrix, because they look like pieces of buildings. I felt sad when the drawing was above the camera, but only briefly because Peter would bring the camera back, and then we'd have a fascinating surprise, since we could tell he was drawing at a different angle. The quiet parts weren't quiet, in a way, because we knew the sound was in Peter's inner dialogue as he was figuring out where to go next, and we could listen to our inner dialogue of reacting to where the drawing was going.. It was beautiful in a very trusting way that Peter felt comfortable enough to be silent with us, and we were comfortable enough to be silent with him. Thank you for your trust in your audience :-)

Eventually I had this weird moment of clarity and just thought ‘even if everything I’m scared of happens, it’ll all turn out ok in the end’ and I just never had one again. I know that sounds overly simple and might not work for you but know that a stranger is rooting for you and knows how difficult it is to manage those rising feelings of choking panic. Peter you're like a pain killer. I watch your vids and all my stress and worries just vanish without a trace. I am a man who was made homeless from the covid situation and happen to still have my laptop with me...managed to get temporary housing in a really nice hotel which is a Godsend...and now I'm finally watching a vid of yours after not watching any youtube for like 3 weeks and sleeping on benches in parks and in bushes by train tracks. Its such a relief to have shelter for a while. but more of a relief that I managed to keep my laptop safe through this entire mess of an ordeal. I was kicked on the street after a restraining order was put on the house I was in...I lost my job as a chef when covid began and was trapped ina house with 2 other mental patients...I made it three..so three mental patients (my brother, my mother and me)..and this resulted in heavy arguements and fighting...I got arrested and spent a week in a cell..then got kicked out on the street and told never to return to my moms house....its been a really crazy few months. Finally im in temporary housing watching some peter draws....and no...Im not a French foreigner who doesnt pay taxes. None of us are actually..I have not met one French person on this entire road and there are hundreds of us who are being helped by homeless shelter organisations. Looking on the bright side at least I thought it would be a good idea to get someone to give me my laptop so I can watch porn...sorry uh,,,youtube...so I can watch youtube.

Peter, you have said in many of your videos about how you could progress your art style by adding perspective. It is not as complicated as you think it is and I would love to see what doodles you could make with a simple underlying structure. (tip: just get out a large sheet of paper with a dot on each side. draw a majority of your lines going to one of these dots. then crop your paper as you see fit!) I think you would enjoy it and dont use a ruler. I work at an architecture firm BTW.

The refill looks like a 'Parker style' refill. I have had a few Schmidt Easy Flow 9000 refills and they are not the same quality as they used to be. The pandemic? Not sure. They skip and sometimes stop. Rubbing alcohol on the ballpoint sometimes jump-starts them. But that size is easy to replace with other brands. Plus, with a little modification, you can take other refills and cut them down to size. So the body is really important and the refills are numerous in choices. Parker refills are sometimes referred to as 'G2' refills but the size and end cap are important.
