pretty cute. i dont believe it's the algorithm that punishes us for changing styles, it's social media and human nature in general. as artists, we want to constantly evolve, improve. as consumers, we want stability and consistency, we come for something and expect to see it. i think that makes being an artist inherently contradictory to the nature of selling oneself on social media-- I see a lot of people give in to the consumer demand as a result. i wish artists remembered that they were artists more often.
