Karina’s faces just soothe my soul. (Also, I know she won’t see this but I really hope Julia sees an orthopedic doc about her wrist. She’s talked about it before, and I am here to tell you all from experience that sudden and severe pain is not normal, and just plain overuse shouldn’t cause that. I powered through severe wrist and hand pain and swelling for years before getting a rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis. I still have bad days, but I haven’t had swelling so severe I can’t move my hand since I started on meds to control my disease. I don’t want to be scary, but please. Please. If you’re having wrist and hand pain severe enough to impact your work, don’t just write it off as overwork.)

I hope she does, and this is important to note for anyone else reading, but it reminds me of what they said on stream once when they showed their cat Olive had to wear an orange sweater to stop licking at her wound. Someone said they should take her to a vet instead. They responded "We... Have? We have medication for her too. We're not just doing this for fun." Like from an outside perspective if someone doesn't explicitly say something people tend to assume they aren't doing it when that's almost never the case. This isn't a critisism of your comment, as someone coming from a family of chronic illnesses and poor health in general don't ignore your body, but I just thought I'd say.

My comment was really aimed more at other viewers who have pains or issues which they ignore. I also know that artists (myself included, I spent way too long powering through debilitating pain to continue stitching rhinestones to costumes for Broadway shows) tend to overwork themselves a LOT to the detriment of their health. I haven’t seen many of the streams, but I had a recollection of Julia wearing a brace and kind of being like “oh, yeah, it’s overwork.” Which is what several doctors told me, oh it’s just overwork. But it wasn’t, it was uncontrolled rheumatoid arthritis.
