@4nn13h73 жыл бұрын
It’s the phonetic variety between all syllables, and the fact that the heaviest stress in the three syllables of both “ladies’ night” and “anarchy” falls on the first syllable, with two unstressed syllables, “in” and “the” between. It creates a little roller-coaster effect that propels you into the last word.

Julia: Elton John HAS covered "Blue Suede Shoes" ...once, live on 10/18/73 in Alabama as part of a set of old rock n' roll covers during the first encore (followed by "Great Balls of Fire" and "Roll Over Beethoven"). I had to look it up out of curiosity, but now you know! [Info via setlist.fm] And on their numerous "Face to Face" tours, Elton and Billy Joel would close the night with "Piano Man" performed together. They'd often play one of each others' songs during their solo sets, but the Elton John song Billy would cover would usually be is "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and Elton would do "New York State of Mind." [Info via Wikipedia]
@totz_the_plaid96254 жыл бұрын
Oh! And you joke about Elton John's "Blue Suede Shoes" being a disco hit... You're actually not that far off something that actually exists (but really shouldn't). In 1979, for his (mostly terrible) album "Victim of Love," he recorded an 8-minute disco cover of "Johnny B. Goode" that was actually released as a single. It (obviously) wasn't a hit, but... it's a thing that exists for some godforsaken reason! When you talk about Elton saying that working on "The Lion King" was the low point of his career... he must have briefly forgotten about the albums "Victim of Love" and "Leather Jackets" which he's described in the past as his artistic nadir.

The low down on Anarchy Jurisdictions is that they didn't accept federal "help with law enforcement" with BLM protests so Trump's government isn't given them some money from some federal thingy using them refusing "help with law enforcement" as them being lawless lands underserving of that federal money. TL;DR Cities didn't want Trump's military police, so he calls them lawless
